—EPILOGUE—
It was already afternoon when the event ended. Brylle stood in front of the venue's opening while checking something on his phone.
He was about to come with Akira for her idol's fansigning event as a surprise but it seems like she already went to the event earlier than he expected. That's why he is now standing at the entrance while typing something on his phone.
‘Johansson Alejandro fansign event schedule’ he searched.
His eyes brightened when there's an official website for the idol's upcoming fan events along with a long list of places with dates and time indicated. He screenshot one specific poster and waited for a taxi.
“Hey!” someone shouted from his behind.
When he looked back he immediately smiled.
“Oh hey!” he greeted Emma, one of the journalist that he met from the earlier’s event.
The woman took a few more step before she smiled again, “Going home?” she shyly ask and checked her watch.
“Ah, yes.” he answered shortly.
The event will start around 4pm, and it's currently 3:15pm. Maybe the event's location isn't that far from where he is, his thoughts flew.
“....with me?” his attention went back to Emma when she waved her hands to get his attention.
“Pardon?” he smiled sheepishly while scratching the back of his neck.
The woman comb her long brown hair, “I said, do you need a ride. Where's Miss Davila anyway?” the woman tried to strike a conversation.
“Ah, she left early but I'm about to follow her to an event.” he said while still checking the time.
The woman eyed him, “Is it the same event from the famous singer? It's not that far away from here, not unless if you commute you know, traffic jam.” the woman prolong their conversation.
“Uh…well then, as long as it doesn't bother you…” he replied.
He noticed the woman's smile widened a little, so he smiled in return. Not long after, a Mercedes Benz stopped in front of them before Emma motioned him to follow her.
He almost forgot that this is the Emma Villamore. The only daughter of Asuncion Villamore, the late Mayor of the province.
The island and the whole province of Lastardes isn't that urbanized but they're on their way there. He remembers the very first day he arrived in the island with Akira. The island of Lastardes is the closest for their island Amuño. Not only the closest, but also provides high education and offers scholarships too to students like them. Since they both liked, literature they opt to join a journalism club. Akira loves taking snaps of nature and writing poems. While he, Brylle loves to write news and give proper information for people to spread and understand.
His silent daydreaming are cut off when the Mercedes stopped abruptly causing him to hit his head and Emma’s shrieks.
“What is happening?!” she asked her driver rudely.
The driver apologized in return, Brylle immediately diverted his eyesight to the car window while fumbling on his phone, when he opened the data there he saw the news.
‘EMERGENCY ALERT: Everyone is advice to stay inside the comfort of their homes away from the virus. Prepare all of your daily necessities.’
Another scream. He saw people's panicked expressions mostly scared while running into different directions. When his companions went outside the vehicle, he also did the same.
