While Erik was busy composing his music Rosalie was still fast asleep her mind wandering her eyebrows twitching in her sleep seeming to look into her lost memories

7 years ago...

13 year old Rosalie was sitting outside in the cold winter Madame Giry was calling her name and looked at the spiral staircase where the rooftop was

"Rose there you are what are you doing in this unsightly cold weather you'll get sick" Madame Giry said "I don't get sick" Rosalie said looking at the sunrise

"Oh dear child" Madame Giry said as she rushed her back inside to take her temperature "sissy" a soft voice said making Rosalie turn to see her 6 year old sister lily who was rubbing her eyes tiredly

"Why are you awake it's too early" lily said with a yawn "look who's talking" Rosalie said poking lily's head gently and held her hand taking her to get dressed

A firey redhead showed her face from the shared room "hm when did you guys wake up" Ruby said rubbing her eyes tiredly

"I was watching the sunrise, your still sleeping?" Rosalie said "can you blame me they worked us to the born yesterday I'm tired" Ruby whined

"Stop whining your 12 years old have some dignity at least" Rosalie said and threw Ruby's clothes at her "get dressed already" Rosalie said

"Hm...why should I...I think I want to tease you about your imaginary angel you know the one that saved you and your sister bringing you to the opera house" Ruby teased

Rosalie was glaring at Ruby who completely overlooked her glare "You were talking about him in your sleep seems like you have a puppy crush on him" Ruby said

When Ruby looked at Rosalie she gulped seeing her glare "don't make me hit you"  Rosalie said with her fist shaking 12 year old Ruby put her hands up in surrender fearing for her life

Later...

The 3 of them were cleaning when monsieur Lefevre walked up to Rosalie "it seems the phantom has written a letter for you" he said handing it to her

Rosalie excitedly tore off the seal and opened the letter Ruby and Lily were dumbfounded by the scene...

Rosalie smiled then noticed Ruby and Lily trying to read over her shoulder "do you both mind this is my letter why are you trying to read it without permission" Rosalie said annoyed

"It's from your angel isn't it, I knew it your smitten with him" Ruby said "I am not smitten with anyone I'm just grateful that's all it's nothing but a deep admiration" Rosalie shyly admitted

"You seem pretty fond of him big sis" lily said looking up at Rosalie "hm...even if I am it's none of your business" Rosalie said firmly

Ruby and Lily frowned "stop giving me those puppy dog eyes they won't work now or later in the future" Rosalie said (are you sure about that)

Later that night...

Rosalie was in her shared room with Ruby and Lily until she heard a creak she looked at the door and carefully moved

Rosalie opened the door and went to the rooftop the full moon was showing she smiled and then began to sing to herself

Rosalie: "🎶 the moon shines just like the sky at night, no one to share the light the brightened sky of starlight 🎶"

Unbeknownst to Rosalie that someone had heard her singing it just so happened to be the phantom of the opera

Rosalie: "🎶 the sun sleeps in the dark of night, rest your head and hold on tight... the dreams you wake with are warm and bright 🎶"

The phantom listened carefully and carefully looked over at the small 13 year old girl who was singing with enchanting beauty

Rosalie: "🎶 wishing on a star, is like a dream come true...if you keep on wishing, it might just come to....you 🎶"

Rosalie had finished singing her own special lullaby that she sang to herself She felt a gaze on her and she turned around

"Who's there...I know your here come out please" Rosalie said as she heard a faint chuckle and the phantom showed himself

Rosalie gasped but not because she was scared but because she finally got to meet her angel again "I didn't mean to startle you mademoiselle" he said showing his masked face

"But I couldn't help but hear your enchanting voice...tell me did you teach yourself to sing" the phantom said keeping a safe distance

"I...was taught by my mother but she died when my sister was born" Rosalie said sadly making the phantom frown hearing this

"my condolences mademoiselle if you would like I would happily teach you how to use your voice...some singing lessons maybe" the phantom said

"You...want to hear me sing! But why?" Rosalie questions "who wouldn't want to hear an enchanting voice such as this you truly have a gift my dear" the phantom said

Rosalie looked down "but wouldn't it be bothersome to trouble you with something like this" she said making the phantom slowly walk up to her

He kneeled down and lifted her chin "you should have more confidence in yourself it would be no trouble on my part I would happily teach you" the phantom said

"But Madame Giry said..." the phantom cut Rosalie off "she doesn't need to know...I won't tell her if you won't" the phantom said

Rosalie was dazed in admiration making the phantom pat her head "let's get you back to bed we don't want you to get tired easily" the phantom said and he gently grasped her hand

Rosalie was pulled to her shared bedroom and she looked at the phantom "what is your name?" Rosalie said making him a little caught off guard

"You want to know my name but why?" The phantom said Rosalie turned to face him putting her hands on her hips "you already know my name why shouldn't I know yours" Rosalie said

The phantom chuckled at her feisty attitude "you do have a point...my name is Erik Destler" the phantom said as Rosalie smiled and reached out her hand

"It's nice to formally meet you Erik" Rosalie said as the phantom reached out and grasped her hand gently "you as well my dear" he said

Rosalie looked away for a moment to see the door open "what are you doing still awake go to bed already" Ruby said rubbing her eyes

"Why are you standing on your own out here anyway" Ruby said tiredly Rosalie looked back to see Erik had disappeared from her sight

"Something wrong?" Ruby said yawning "no...nothing I'll be there in a moment" Rosalie said as she sighed and went into the bedroom to go to sleep
