Moment in Time (PLEASE DO NOT READ. I WARNED YOU)

Chapter 11

Lily's POV

The bell rang. It signaled that it was now time for lunch. I put my stuff away in my lockers and make my way over to the lunch table. I felt awkward being the first one there. It made me feel like a loner. Finally being able to see Caitlin make her way to me made me happy.

"Finally! I was getting so bored," I tell her, "I felt like such a loner."

"Stop pouting would you." She teases me.

"Oh look, Ben and Chelsea are here." I inform her.

Chelsea and Ben walk over to the table. Ben had his arm around her waist. They were walking in sync towards the table.

"It's the lovebirds!" Caitlin gushes. We all laugh at her stupidity.

All four of us go to the lunch line to grab our "lunches." The food we were fed was gross. It couldn't possibly be categorized as "food." It was like a glob of jelly. Ew. Today, the food on the menu was turkey hot dogs. It was too pink to be a hot dog. Plus, it wasn't even cooked all the way.

I look up from my school lunch to find all three of my idiotic friends staring at me.

"WHAT?!" I yell.

"Tell us how your date went." Chelsea demands.

"Well first of all, apparently it wasn't a hang out session, as I thought it was." I told them truthfully.

"No duh. You were just denying it.." Caitlin explains.

"Ugh, I guess so. He said it was a date. I guess it was pretty fun.." I tell them.

"Go on." Ben encourages.

"Okay so well he picked me up and stuff. Then we went to the park. We kinda had a little debate over the fact that if it was a date or not. He won. And then we were just talking and getting to know each other. Do you know what he did? Oh my god! He freaking TASED me! So then we were chasing each other around the park and I screamed. We went to the playground and I was on the swings and he pushed me. We were acting like idiots basically around the playground. THEN, we were going down the slides and climbed the monkey bars. I jumped on his back and ran around like that screaming crazy things. After that, he showed me this beautiful scene. The stars were twinkling and the sky was just aaahh. It was so perfect. Ugh. The whole day was just freaking amazing." I admit.

I find them staring at me with amusement in their eyes. Not soon after, they crack up and start banging the table. I sat there watching them. What was so funny about this?

"Geez, you were the ones that wanted to know." I say.

"If this was just a friendly date, then I don't know what to expect when you actually go out.." Ben informs.

"What do you mean?" I ask with curiosity.

"The things that you guys did together is something couples do." Caitlin further explains.

"Exactly. To tell you the truth, that's something Ben and I would do! Isn't that right Benny-Boo?" Chelsea teases.

"Babe, as much as I love you, please never call me that again." He says. She stuck her tongue out at him.

"Seriously though, from what you've described, it sounded like you guys were a couple.." Chelsea says.

I try to think of anything to switch the subject.

"Oh my gosh! I forgot to tell you! He had a British accent! It was so cute." I spilled.

"No fucking way.." Caitlin says, "like One Direction!"

"Yeah yeah nobody cares." Ben remarked.

"Picture?" Caitlin asks.

"Oh yeah. I'll show you." I reply.

"What was his name again?" Chelsea asks.

"Harry." I reply.

I fished my phone out of my back pocket. I scrolled through all my pictures. My eyes landed upon the one picture that I sneakily captured.

"Here you go!" I say as I show the three of them the picture.

"AAAAAAAHHHHH," Caitlin screams, "THAT'S HARRY STYLES!"
