Evelyn's pov

I waited for hours, it was now 4:46 in the morning and Robert had gone home. I stayed because i didn't lose hope quite yet unlike my husband, i knew there was something wrong, it has already been 3 hours since the doctors went into the room. I was giving up hope untill the door finally opened, the doctor came into the hallway
'Mrs Katz i'm here to inform on your son's condition' she says
'Is my son okay?' I ask in fear
'Ziggy has lost more blood then we originally thought, and since it wasn't enough to keep him alive in his coma his body couldn't take it. We almost lost him there, luckely we saved him just in time, he'll need a blood transfusion tho' she explains
'There was a lot of blood when we found him but i didn't think it would be this bad' i say in shock
'Well we aren't sure how he could have lost this much blood but we do know that he needs a blood donor' she says
'As long as he can live a happy life and doesn't have to feel pain anymore, i'll do anything for him' i say, i need my son to be happy to just live his life, like he deserves
'Are you saying you want to give him your blood' the doctor asks
'Yes, i need him with me again as soon as possible, i have alot to talk about with him' i say
'Alright then, we'll start by taking some blood from you for tests, we need to see if he can recieve your blood and do a few others tests' the doctor says
'After you' she says before leading me into a room

~a few days later~

'Evelyn, the hospital called' Robert says before i walk into the room
'What did they have to say?' I ask
'Well, Ziggy can't recieve your blood. We have to find a new donor' Robert tells me
'How about Ziggy's girlfriend?' I offer
'Good idea, here the phone' Robert says handing me the phone.
I rapidly type in the number, it immediatly went of
'Hello Evelyn Katz speaking' i say politely
'Y/n y/l/n, hello Evelyn, is Ziggy okay?' Y/n says on the other side of the phone
'Ziggy lost quite a bit of blood, he has to get a blood transfusion, and i'm unsuitible to give him mine because our bloodgroup dont match, we were wondering if you could help us with that' i tell her
'I wish i could, i really do but i myself have problems with my blood so i can't' y/n says
'Oh well, thank you anyway Y/n' i say
'I may have someone who could give him blood but i dont think she would want that, i'll ask her if you want me to' y/n offers
'Thank you so much y/n' i say to her
'No problem mrs Katz' y/n says
'We'll talk about it sometime soon okay, as soon as possible' i say kindly
'Happy i could help mrs katz, bye!' She says before leaving the call

~with Y/n~

I was with Lila when i got a call. I knew it had to be Ziggy's parents, i picked up the phone and accepted to help find a blood donor for Ziggy, since it is also probably my fault he lost so much blood. I may have taken to much of his blood earlier this week, oops.
I went back to Lila, we were chilling in her room talking about boys and such, Ziggy was one of the boys we talked about.
'Hey Lila, can i ask you something?' I ask while sitting with her on her bed
'Sure what's up?' She asks before putting the book she was reading away
'Ziggy's mom just called me, it is about him. She told me he lost to much blood, he has to get a blood transfusion' i say in tears
'Oh no, did he seriously lose so much blood' Lila asks in disbelief
'Yeah, and his mother wanted to donate blood but she couldn't and i think his father can't either, i wish i could help him but i can't either so. I was thinking, maybe you could do it' i say with a sad tone
'I think i could do it but my blood will first need to get checked before he can actually recieve it, and our bloodgroup's have to match' she says
'But you will do it? If it is a match?' I ask
'I will yes, obviously' she says
'I'll call his parents now, do you want to say it or' i ask
'I'll say it' Lila says
We went to call and they immediately picked up
'Evelyn Katz speaking' we heard Evelyn say
'Hello mrs Katz it's me y/n, ehm i have someone who could give Ziggy blood' i say awkwardly
'Hello mrs katz, i'm Lila' Lila introduces herself
'Are you the girl who can donate blood to my son?' Evelyn asks politely
'Yes, i know Ziggy from school and i'm willing to help' Lila says
'Well, thank you so much Lila. Are you able to meet at the hospital tomorrow for blood tests?' Evelyn asks
'Yes i am, i'll see you tomorrow then mrs Katz' Lila says before walking back to her room
'Thank you so much for helping us y/n' Evelyn says
'Ofcourse mrs Katz, i'll try everything for Ziggy' i say
'He means a lot to you doesn't he?' Evelyn asks
'He surely does' i say
'Well thank you so much' Evelyn says
'I hope to see you soon' i say
'Bye y/n, i hope to see you soon aswell' Evelyn says
'Well, Bye mrs Katz' i say before leaving the call

~a few days later~

Lila, me and Evelyn were in Ziggy's room in the hospital, we were waiting for the doctor, we would hear if the blood transfusion would be possible. I sat on the side of the bed, just staring at Ziggy and holding his cold hands. He did wake up a few times but he was still very weak and would only stay awake for a few minutes before falling back to sleep again. He didn't say much, except for hello or where am i or anything related to that. We waited for almost a hour after Lila got her blood drawn.
The doctor came into the room with news about the results
'Hello ladies, we have good news. Ziggy can recieve your blood. If you want to we could start the procedure of the blood transfusion now' the doctor tells us
'Really? Okay i'll do it' Lila says
'Alright, i'll be right back then' the doctor says before leaving the room
'Are you sure about this Lila?' I ask
'I'm sure, completely fine with it' she says
'Thank you for doing this, we really apreciate it' Evelyn says
'I'm happy to help' Lila says with a small smile
The doctor came back in with a IV, he told Lila to sit on the chair close to Ziggy's bed. She did that.
'This will be just like getting your blood drawn but longer but it does kinda feel the same, dont worry it wont hurt' the doctor says
'Alright' Lila says
The doctor put the IV needle in her skin and bandaged the top of her hand to keep the needle in place.
'Thank you' Lila says
'I'll come back once i think there will be enough blood taken' the doctor says before walking away
Thank you so much again' Evelyn says
'Ofcourse mrs Katz' Lila says happily

~after a while~

It took a while but the doctor came back and took away the now filled IV, he then switched the medication to the donated blood on Ziggy's IV. The blood was rapidly making it's way to his bloodstream, we were all relieved and happy he was finally safe again.
