Chapter 4

"So what school do you want to go to?" Josh asked as I pointed to a school, the school Lexi is going to. "Ok, I'll get you set up and that's where you'll be starting 7th- wait isn't that the high school I went to?" Josh asked as I realized it actually was. "I actually didn't notice, but ya it is!" I said with a laugh. Mya came running in, "Auntie come look I got some new book covers!" She said practically dragging me. I noticed some books I recognized. So I looked around noticed some of the new covers. "Do you like it?" She asked, "Yes!" I said as we walked back to the desk where Josh was finding the school transfer paperwork. I heard someone knock at the door. "I'll get it!" Chase said as I seen him open the door and mom and a cop were standing outside the door. "Him over there! He was the one who kidnapped my daughter!" Mom yelled as she pointed at Josh. "Do you mean how I took in my sister because you FUCKING DISOWNED HER?" Josh screamed, "I would never disown my daughter! Why would you accuse me of that?" It said as the cop grabbed me. "I got proof, right here!" Chase said waving his phone and passing it to the officer. He listened to it, "Ma'am, put your hand behind your back, your being arrested for disowning a child under the age of sixteen." He said as she was put in handcuffs.

"Well that could of been shit!" Chase said as we sat on the couch, Mya coming towards us in fear after witnessing the situation. "This reminds me of when I was disowned." Josh said, it was true. "We have to go to the court in a few days.." Josh said, "Without you Mya...." He said. "Why can't I come?" Mya asked, "You're to young, it's only, Me, Chase and Mia going. Your gonna stay with Zoe when that happens ok." Josh explained. Josh was right, Mya is to young, I should be but I need to be there.

"I'm inviting Mason over. Want him to bring Lexi?" Josh asked me, "Sure..." I said. Around ten minutes later there is a knock at the door. "I'll get it!" Josh said as he opened the door. "Come in, go take a seat on the couch!" Josh said as Mason and Lexi walked in. Lexi noticed me and started blushing. "Why don't you guys hang upstairs." Josh said to me and Lexi. We walked up the stairs and sat in me and Mya's room. We sat on the mattress that chase and Josh put in yesterday, until the guest bedroom is finished. "Sorry about yesterday...." Lexi said, reminding me of the chaotic day. "It's fine." I said, I'm still so confused about this whole thing. "Sorry about running away." She said, "I still want to know why you ran, that just really wasn't what I expected on a Thursday afternoon." I said with a laugh. "I was testing my suspicion... either way I'd of run." Still didn't completely answer why, "So was your suspicion right, or wrong?" I asked, she got nervous. "It was... right...." She said, still very nervous. "Also aren't you supposed to be banned from seeing your brother, how are you here?" She asked changing the subject. "Kinda got disowned...." I said, "and I'm kinda also gay...." I finished. "Also why did you run away?" I asked going back to the topic. "If my suspicion was wrong, I wouldn't want to stay, just in case, but if my suspicion was right, I wasn't sure if... you liked me, so I didn't want to embarrass myself." She answered. "Do you like me?" She asked, I tensed up, I do like her like that, but I can't just admit that! But I can't lie to her. "I'll take that silence as a no." Lexi said embarrassed and slightly upset.

We sat there for probably ten minutes in silence until I said, "I didn't say I didn't like you...." I immediately regretted that. "So you-" She stopped as I kissed her. We stopped, "I should have-" We started kissing again as Josh opened the door, we stopped as he just walked backwards and closed the door. We laughed. "That was definitely not what I expected today." Lexi said as I smiled. "Do you want to be my girlfriend?" I asked. "Um yes! But aren't we gonna be in different schools?" She asked, I didn't want to tell her just yet. "I've got a solution, and I can't tell you yet." She looked jokingly upset.
