It's the year 2007, me, Satoru, Suguru, and Shoko had been inseparable for two years. We did almost everything together, from going to the arcane, to boring lessons and swimming at the beach. Sure, hanging out with the two boys was fun, but my best friend was and will always be Shoko. From the moment we said hi for the first time there had been an inseparable bond between us. We were like fish and water, the sun, and the moon. It's not like I didn't have a strong bond with my other friends. I was close to Satoru and Suguru too. Satoru being a crackhead and Suguru with his cool manners. At the same time, me and Shoko smoked a few cigarettes laughing at their teasing.
September had just started, and the school year had begun. Summer was still stubbornly holding its grip in the air. I had moved back into my cozy dorm room the week before school had started again. I was excited to be back, the summer had been long and boring. I lived far too long away from my friends to hang out with them every day. but we had been at the cabin up in the mountains for a week. Satoru ran after Suguru holding a stick with dog poop on it, while me and Shoko were dying of laughter in the background.
a loud knock on my door brought me back to reality, it was a hard enough knock to disturb my non-existent neighbour's. Good thing that I didn't have any. As I strolled towards the door, I could hear whispers and quiet shouts. "Shhh if you keep babbling so loudly, she will hear us and you will ruin the surprise" A half-irritated Shoko whispered, I'm guessing towards Satoru. I can hear Satoru trying to stifle his laughter but failed hard. I can even imagine Suguru rolling his eyes at Satoru.
I reached out to the cold door handle, and as I was about to open the door one of my good friends took a strong grip on my door and swung it open. It happened so quickly, one second, I was alone inside of my dorm room, and the next I had three warm bodies colliding all over me. Suguru was the first to draw back from the tight but warm hug.
"Sora, welcome back," he said with a warm smile. One thing I had always liked about Suguru was how his eyes always smiled with his lips, it can make anybody feel warm and fuzzy inside. "Thank god you're back. leaving me alone with these two idiots is always a pain in the ass" Shoko complained. That I could believe, Satoru and Suguru always got into silly little fights. If you didn't know them, you would have most likely felt frightened when does two start to tease each other. Even worse if you were caught in the middle of their bickering, then I could only wish you luck getting out of that one.
"I'm sure that you're overreacting, how could these two sweethearts ever do anything bad?" I said with a glint in my eye. "I don't know what y'all are talking about, me and Suguru have always been the best of friends, I don't think we have ever fought" I shoot Shoko a glance before we busted out laughing. "Anyhow we have a welcome back gift for you Sora" Suguru handed me a beautifully packaged gift. "I wanted to give her that," Satoru said pouting "Oh grow up" Shoko rolled her eyes, clearly annoyed over how childish some of her friends really were.
It was a small gift, wrapped in a gorgeous light blue gift paper. It was a shame to unpack the gift, I wanted to unwrap it as slowly and as carefully as possible. "How is it possible to be this slow at opening a gift? just rip it open" said Satoru mockingly. "But the paper, it's just so pretty, I can use it later for something else" "Had we known you would like the paper so much then we would have just given you the whole roll".
After a few minutes, I had finally unwrapped the gift, inside the gifting paper was a box. Big enough to hold a cup but too small for a book. As I opened the box the three others in the room looked at me excitedly. Inside the box was a picture of them all together, a wholesome gift if it hadn't been for the hot pink vibrator that stared back up at me.
"Ehhh...... is this a.." I said not looking up from the hot pink object that was lying next to the group photo. "A picture of us three? yes," Satoru said with an innocent smile. "No not that, but the hot pink vibrator," I said while looking at them all with suspicious eyes "It was shokos idea and Satoru loved it, so I didn't have a choice but to join in, I'm sorry," Suguru said almost apologetic. my eyes went from Suguru to Satoru and finally to Shoko, I stared long and hard at her "What? I know that you rarely get dicked down when we are at school, it's like you're in heat. I don't want to deal with that for another year" she said it like it was the most obvious reason ever.
I stared at her dumbfounded, I could feel my face getting hot and red. even Suguru and Satoru looked a little embarrassed. "I don't know what you're talking about but thank you all for your... Emm... interesting gift" I mumbled, still a little shocked. When my cheeks stopped burning with humiliation, I took my gift and put it slowly down on my bed for the time being. "We have to go; the teacher is waiting," Shoko said already halfway through the door. "I can't believe school has already begun," Satoru said grumpily. Suguru petted Satoru's shoulder and looked back at me "Come on Sora let's catch up with Shoko before she tells the teacher that we are skipping the class. I would rather not get in trouble the first day we're back here».
As I followed them out the door of my dorm room, I couldn't help but laugh a little. Shoko's little trick had left me aghast, I'm sure she was trying to tease me. On the cabin trip we had been to earlier this summer I had accidentally slipped out that I had, had a wet dream about somebody with soft white hair and ocean blue eyes. Of course, she isn't stupid, I mean I could have just told her that it had been a dream of an old man, but I doubt she would have believed me. I hope she isn't trying to play matchmaking, even though Satoru Is quite the good-looking guy he is just not my type. I like calmer guys like Suguru, when I think about it Suguru might be my ideal type. I pinched myself on the arm to stop my thought pattern. Thinking thoughts like that are only asking for trouble. "Hey, wait for me" I shouted after realizing how far they had gotten without me.
