Being tasked to steal from Wayne Enterprises was like a steak through Robin's heart, but he didn't refuse. He wondered if Slade knew how painful this was for him, and Robin knew that either way, Slade didn't care. Why would he? He just hoped Bruce wouldn't find out about this. He froze. What if Bruce did find out? He hadn't considered that before. Slade wanted to replace him as my father anyway. He shook the thought from his head and continued to break into the place.
It was fairly easy for him, though he did have to get violent with a few people. He only knocked them out, since he couldn't bring himself to kill anyone. He hoped he would never have to, though he was scared Slade would train him to. He broke through the door using the laser device. It created a very large blast. He hoped he would never have to use the laser on a person, especially the Titans.
He walked to the center of the room, which displayed some weird device Slade had told him to steal. Probably very dangerous, considering it was the only thing in the fairly large room. As he reached up to grab it, he heard a voice that pierced the silence. "You're not walking out of here, Robin," he turned to see his former team in the doorway, "Not without a fight," Cyborg finished.
Robin began to charge at them, to catch them off guard. "Titans, Go!" Cyborg quickly called. Beastboy shifted to a tiger, and they all charged at Robin back. Cyborg went for a punch, to which Robin leaped onto his arm and towards Raven and Star, who were flying. They dodged him, only to realize he was aiming for a pipe on the roof he grabbed onto and broke into the vents to make an escape.
He crawled through the vents, hoping the Titans didn't fly in after him. He hadn't grabbed the new device, and hadn't taken anything else from the building. He started thinking. They probably hate me. They're probably hurt and confused and I can't say anything. They need to hate me after this. They need to. If they hated me, it'd make it easier for everyone. I hope they hate me. Robin was nearing the roof. Even if they hated me, I'll never hate them. Never. He broke through to the roof.
He was on the left side of the roof, running to the right when Slade contacted him through his ear piece. "Not so fast, Robin. You have yet to achieve your objective," he said, trying to keep a collected tone. "The device was too heavily guarded. I'll have to steal it another-" Robin tried to explain. "No," Slade yelled back, causing Robin to stop in his tracks, "Go back. Unless you want me to destroy them, go back and fight."
Robin had no time to process his words, being startled by Cyborg's voice calling his name from across the roof, in the direction Robin was previously running. He quickly turned to face the Titans. "Look, I don't know what's going on," Cyborg walked closer to him, "but we don't wanna fight. We just wanna talk." Robin desperately wanted to talk, but that wasn't an option. He attacked Cyborg with a kick that sent him flying far behind the other three. "Guess there's nothing to talk about," Beastboy growled. He cracked his knuckles and shifted into a gorilla.
He attempted to smash Robin with his hands, but Robin inevitable dodged. He then tried to grab him, but Robin had dodged again, flipping backwards and springing onto the giant 'A' on the giant lit up word 'WAYNE'. Beastboy jumped up on there too, only for Robin to jump off and grapple BB's arm, and jammed him in the middle of the letter.
Robin landed a little ways from Starfire, who didn't know whether to fight or try to plea with him. "Please," she muttered as he ran towards her. He bumped her shoulder and continued to run past her. She gasped.
Robin jumped into a kick at Raven, who put a small magic shield above herself to take the impact. Robin landed and attempted to kick her side and missed. He threw a few punches, but she blocked them each time.
Cyborg aimed his sonic canon at Robin. Cyborg watched as his attacks on Raven kept being blocked and missed. He had a moment where he could clearly shoot Robin, and get the fight over with. But he didn't. He grumbled and ran over to fight Robin in hand to hand. He came to punch from behind, but Robin dodged, and Cyborg hit Raven's shield instead.
