The Titans were in their living room. Raven and Cyborg were sitting on the couch, watching Beastboy pace back and forth in front of them. Beastboy spoke. "Okay, the way I see it," Beastboy stopped pacing and turned to face Raven and Cyborg, "there are only two logical explanations. One: Robin's been replaced by an evil robot devil. Two: he's another innocent victim of zombie mind control!" Raven and Cyborg were not amused.
"As logical as that sounds," Raven rolled her eyes and frowned, "if anything were controlling his mind, I would have sensed it." "And my scanners confirmed his biometrics," Cyborg began to check his arm again for confirmation, "That was the real Robin...our Robin," he sighed. The room fell silent for a quick moment.
"Lies!" They turned to see Starfire, clearly peeved, behind the couch. "That was not Robin! You're scanners are wrong! Robin is our friend and nothing could ever make him betray us," she shouted, "Nothing..."
Raven and Cyborg shared a glance at each other, then looked back at Star. "But something did," Raven mumbled. Beastboy came around the couch. "Three words: disgruntled radioactive clone." Cyborg narrowed his eye at him. Raven hopped over the back of the couch and shoved him out of the way.
"Why would he do something like this? We are his friends, are we not? I don't understand," Star cried, a tear running down her cheek.
"We don't understand why either, Star," Cyborg somberly told her.
"We have to get him back! There must be a reason!"
"You can't win against someone who has nothing to lose, Star," Beastboy dully said, looking down at the floor, and then going over to the computer.
"He has us! Are we not enough," Star was crying a river.
"No matter what the reason, no matter how much we wish it wasn't true, Robin's a criminal now. And just like any other criminal..." Raven started, but lost her spirit the longer she looked into Star's eyes.
"The Teen Titans have to take him down," Cyborg finished her sentence for her, avoiding eye contact with anyone. Star was crying harder, trying not to make any noise.
The crime alert went off, flashing red. Beastboy, who was already at the computer, turned to face the others. "It's him."
