Josephine's POV
The bonfire was huge. My dad had already started adding wood to it before we got there so by the time we got there it was a decent size but it has gotten bigger over the last hour.Ivy, Addie, and I have been inside the house doing whatever. We all made cookies but they're cooling. Now we are sitting in the living room watching Dirty Dancing.
"I wish I had hair like her." I stated, talking about Baby.
"Joe, you have long curly gorgeous red hair, Addie and I envy you." Ivy stated.
"Well thank you, you're making me blush." I joked causing the two other girls to laugh.
We continue watching Dirty Dancing until there was a knock on the screen door.
"I'll get it!" I shouted, I got up from the floor and walked over to the door, the front door was open but the screen door was shut.
It was Mrs. Jones, Mr. Jones, and Charlotte. I let them in with a warm smile.
"Let me go get my mom!" I said leaving them in the entry room.
"Mom! The Jones' are here!" I shouted as I ran upstairs.
"I'm in Laci's room!" She shouted.
I walked into Laci's room to see my mom playing with Laci and her dolls.
"The Jones' are here, they have a little girl named Charlotte who's her age." I said as I walked over to her play bin, just skimming through what's inside.
"Let's go downstairs and meet them then." My mom smiled as she got up.
All three of us came downstairs, I excused myself to go be with my friends.
"Joe you missed the best part!" Addie exclaimed as she pointed to the tv.
"Where they found out she was knocked up?" I asked as I sat back down in my spot on the floor.
"Yes!" Ivy exclaimed.
I shook my head with a smile.
Mrs. Jones came over to us, sitting in the arm chair next to the tv.
"I didn't get a good look at your hair earlier because you had it up in a bun but now that I'm looking at it, you have beautiful hair." She said.
"Thank you." I smiled brightly.
"A lot of boys must like you." She said.
"Oh no ma'am, I'm more of a quiet person..." I stated trailing off.
"She doesn't really like to talk to many people." My mom spoke, coming in from the kitchen with the plate of cookies we made.
"Oh I see, I was also like that when I was younger." She smiled.
I just shot her a warm, short smile.
"Why don't you girls go outside?" My mom suggested.
"But we're watching Dirty Dancing..." I said kind of glancing back and forth between the tv and my mom.
