Josephine Harmon and Jacob Anderson first met under an oak tree on Josephine's farm. Josephine had always heard his name around town or school but never saw him or even talked to him until that day under the oak tree. Jacob was one of the popular boys at the school they went to. Josephine was the innocent, virgin girl of the school. She only had some friends, the ones that she used to to go church with.

The same day they met, she knew she'd hate him. It was his attitude that sold her on the decision to like him or hate him.

A new family came into town the same day they met, and the church held a welcoming for them and she met a boy, that would make her go a long way in life.

The new boy and her got close quickly and they'd continue to be friends until their senior year of high school...
