Yes, this story will have tons of references to dogs and other animals related to characters.
Yes, the switching of the use of Mara and Hound is purposeful and has meaning. There will be times where she feels more like a dog than a person and will only start switching to the personality of "Mara" towards the last half of the book.
The color of the header will signify certain warnings. Yellow, it'll only be mildly triggering. Red, it'll most definitely be something along the lines of Dead Dove: Do Not Eat. None has been planned, but if smut arrives, the chapter will have a pink header. Gray is a chapter with no particular warnings. Examples:

Onto the real trigger warnings, this book is rated mature for a reason and will most likely contain themes like :
- Canon typical violence
- Excessive violence
- Graphic scenes of torture. (This includes mutilation, drowning, psychological shit, starvation, dehydration, and SA.)
- Graphic scenes of panic attacks.
- Graphic descriptions of gore. (Mild injuries to lethal injuries alike.)
- POTENTIALLY sexual scenes. (Not planned but if enough people want it, what happens just happenes.)
- The lesser of evils but an evil nonetheless, there may be scenes containing potential phobia triggering things like needles, suturing, spiders, vomiting, etc. (Just because these aren't considered as bad as a topic as the other warnings, these are still triggering to some.)
NOT ALL OF THESE WILL BE IMMEDIATELY JUMPED INTO. HOWEVER, EXPECT A DECENT AMOUNT OF THEM SHOWING UP PRETTY EARLY CONSIDERING THE NATURE OF MY CHARACTER.
