with work to do by america playing, lia set up her switch and two controllers for an afternoon of just messing around on it.

she quickly changed the song to the next and as soon as the glee cover of she's not there began, her doorbell rang.

opening the door as she was singing the chorus, charlie had two bags in his hands, "you didn't have to bring snacks, char." she said, inviting him in.

"char?" he asked. lia didn't even realise she had called him that.

"don't judge me. anyway, i have the switch set up and you can put on some music if you'd like?" "i kinda like the choice on right now. glee, right?"

she nodded as he put the bags on the bench, "right, what the fuck did you even buy?" she asked, a smirk toying.

"well," he began as kill you to try by daisy jones & the six played, "i was thinking just typical snacks, right?" he began to unpack the bag and she watched as each snack was revealed. she sang along to the music and charlie stopped momentarily to listen, "you have a really pretty voice." he admitted.

lia's eyes widened, "what? oh, thank you." she smiled, "it's my second favourite song from this album."

charlie nodded as he pulled out the drinks, including a bottle of pink lemonade koolaid that he had made up. she faintly blushed, remembering the bare significance of that drink, "you made some pink lemonade koolaid?"

"it's your favourite." "that's- too kind of you, charlie!" she laughed. "i already have a bottle in the fridge but that's still really nice of you."

"no, you absolutely didn't win! you came first once." lia said, laughing at charlie's claims. she playfully nudged him, pushing him back, lightly.

"and yet, i'm still better than you." "how?" she asked, purely shocked. "you lost, fair as it can be. you're a liar, mr cicle."

he smiled as she playfully crossed her arms.

watching him, lia only had one thing on her mind, which was to kiss him.

"i'm getting a glass of water." she said, still giggling.

charlie watched her and smiled to himself as she returned with two glasses. "i didn't know if you wanted one, so." "that's very kind, thank you."

the two sipped silently before she perked up. "what have you been watching recently?" she asked, turning her feet so that they faced him, "because i have been rewatching daisy jones & the six and it is so good. we gotta watch it sometime?" "i'd totally be down." he replied, lia beaming in response.

"great." she smiled, sipping more water.

"so," she said, after a few hours of playing her switch and just being there, in company, "what's the plan?"

charlie eyed down a guitar and lia followed his gaze. she smiled, walking over to pick it up.

"play your favourite song." he said and she sat down, tuning it a little. "anything."

"anything?" she made sure he was saying what he was. with a nod, she began to strum.

"right. this is look at us now. you know finnick odair from the hunger games?" "of course."

she smiled, "he actually sang this." "i'd love it if you sang it for me."

as she began to strum, you couldn't deny the look of infatuation that charlie had towards lia.

"now where do we stand, baby, baby, baby? noone knows who you are." her voice was raspy but charlie listened nonetheless.

"we unravelled a long time ago, we lost and we couldn't let go." harmonising with charlie was a surprise, "i wish it was easy but it isn't so. so baby..."

she strummed and they almost belted out the chorus together and lia blushed.

she was surely falling for this guy and she let herself
