When I finally got home I slammed my car door and let out a groan of frustration. The freaking idiot pretty much had the same schedule as me. Luckily he was too stupid to get into my AP Biology and AP Lit. classes. As I walked through the front door I ran into my mother. The only way we were similar was genes. Natalie Martin wasn't the kind of woman who would wear baggy sweatshirts like me. My mother actually put thought into what she wore, like today she was wearing a deep Burgundy, fitted dress and heels.
"Oh hey sweetie." She said giving me a peck on the cheek.
"Hey Mom." That's when I noticed the cake box from the local bakery in my mom's hands. I just pointed at it with a confused expression on my face.
"Oh! Well you know that we got some new neighbors, so I thought it would be nice to take them some cupcakes. Ya know, get to know them a little." She smiled at me nervously.
"Can't we just be hermits and just eat the cupcakes? " I asked slumping my shoulders. My mother then frowned at me obviously disappointed.
"Lydia Lorraine Martin! We are going next door to meet the neighbors and you are going to smile!" She screamed and then smiled as she began to walk out the door swaying her hips slightly. I knew that there was no way that I was getting out of this so I just put my books down on the coffee table in the living room and followed after her.
Our houses were pretty similar. They were both two story colonials, the only difference was that my house was brick and their house was covered in dark grey siding. The house was nice with its red door.
As we reached the front door we were met with the faint sound of an electric guitar. My mother looked nervous as she rung the door bell. Suddenly the guitar stopped. I pretty much choked on my own spit when the door finally opened. Stiles Stilinski stood in the doorway, smirking as I coughed randomly.
My mom eyed him nervously once I could finally breath again. "What are you doing here?" I said before I could stop myself. He let out a small chuckle before he began chewing on his bottom lip, making the hole around one of his piercings stretch.
"If you must know I live here." Is all he said before smiling at my mother. "And who is this lovely lady?" As I turned to look at my mother I realized that she was actually blushing!
"I'm Natalie Martin from next door. This is my daughter Lydia...well it seems you two have already met." I couldn't believe my mom was actually being nice to someone who practically had douchebag tattooed across their forehead.
"Yeah me and Lydia became the best of friends today." He said sarcastically, looking me up and down. "We have several classes together." I just glared at the idiot in front of me.
"Oh...well that's good," my mother said practically drooling. "Are your parents here I'd love to meet them." My mother was way to eager for friends. No way would she get along with someone who allowed their son to be covered in tattoos and piercings.
"No my parents are not here. Actually no one is. Its just me. Ooo are those cupcakes." He took the box away from my mom and practically threw it behind him.
"Well are you hungry? If so you can come over. I was just about to start on supper." I could feel my eyes widen. How could she invite him over! I subconsciously shook my head and then I noticed him smirking at me.
"I would love that. It would give me the chance to get to know Lydia so much more." I just knew then that Stiles Stilinski would be the death of me.
