As I opened the door I was met by Kira's usual infectious smile. "Hey! God I have a lot to tell you, that guy from history, Scott, he is SOOO amazing...Are you gonna let me in?" She was ranting as she pushed passed me and stopped suddenly. I shut the door and came to stand beside her. She just stood, staring at Stiles with wide eyes full of fear and embarrassment. "Uh...hi." she squeaked.
Stiles smiled and waved. "Don't worry, I know how to keep my mouth shut." Standing up to give Kira a firm handshake. "I'm Stiles." He said with a smirk.
"Kira." She said with a squeak. Just as the awkward silence started to settle in, my called us for dinner.
"Great I'm starving." Stiles said before motioning for us to lead the way. As I began to move towards the dining room, Kira began walking closer to me than necessary.
"Why didn't you tell me he was gonna be here? " she whispered nervously. I just shrugged. I turned to catch Stiles staring at my ass with a smirk on his lips. I rolled my eyes and started walk faster. We all took our seats at the long table, mother at the head, I sat beside her, Kira beside me and Stiles across from me.
After about twenty minutes of silence, only broken by the clinking of forks on plates, my mom spoke up. "So, Stiles, why don't you tell us a little about yourself." He smiled, obviously happy with all of the attention being turned his way.
"What do you want to know? " he smirked at my mother.
"Anything. What are you interests?"
"Well, I'm really into music." This caught my attention, as well as Kira's. "I'm actually a part of a band." My mother gave him a look that I couldn't quite read.
"What genre of music do you play? " Kira was way too happy to hear about a new music group. We were always looking for a new group to listen to.
"Uh, I don't know. We're kinda punk rock, alternative I guess. I don't know. I just play the music." He let out a chuckle and started playing with his fork. "We're actually performing on Friday, which reminds me that I probably should get going. Everybody should be home by now."
He stood up and pushed his chair up. "Thank you for supper, Mrs. Martin." He extended a hand and my mother shook it.
"We'll walk you out." Kira said jumping up and dragging me after her.
"W-Wha?" I said stumbling after her. She stood in front of Stiles, smiling. He just laughed and motioned for us to lead the way. As she walked to the door I realized she wanted us to walk him all the way back.
She stopped suddenly in my front yard, reeling on Stiles. "When and where are you guys performing on Friday?" She said and my eyes got wide with realization of where this conversation was going.
He nodded towards his house while speaking. "My house. It starts at eight." He gave me a smile, showing those goddamn dimples.
"We'll be there." Kira said nudging me. I just nodded.
"I'm glad to hear that." He never took his eyes off of me and it was starting to get uncomfortable.
"Well, bye!" I shook his hand and practically ran back to my house. What was wrong with me?!
