Ella peeked at her bedroom window to see what's happening outside because it's really noisy and looks like someone's quarrelling. She saw Marcus and Matthew fighting over the broken badminton racket. It turned out that Matthew join into a competition where he can win 100$. He was raging mad because he wanted to win so he could experience being praised by his parents and he really wanted to make his parents proud because his parents don't even notice his hardwork.
Ella has set her goals and focus on her major subjects more before she go out and play badminton with them. She needed to pass all her subjects and achieve her dream to be with the honors.
One day she heard Matthew's voice and she peeked again and saw that all her friends is outside even the girl who hated her. She really doesn't know why Jessica hates her. She didn't do anything bad that will hurt Jessica's feelings. There she was left with curiosity.
Everynight, she always just imagine how can she fix things between her and Marcus. Ella really wanted to confront Marcus about Jessica's attitude and why she thinks that she pisses Jessica even though she doesn't do anything.
