CUT TO: THE REALM OF IHIOSADORE

EXT. MARSHLANDS - NIGHT

A MAN WALKS ALONG A PATHWAY IN A MARSH AT NIGHT USING A SMALL LAMP TO KEEP THE PATHWAY LIT.

[Unknown Man#1]

(To himself)

I just have to keep going. It's around here somewhere. If only I hadn't lost that map. Those ingrates should have been happy that I even agreed to this whole bothersome journey in the first place. Although, what's at stake surely couldn't be allowed to enter their grubby hands in the first place. If I remember correctly, I should make a left up here. Or... was it a right?

THE MAN FINDS A CLEARING THAT LEADS TO ANOTHER PATH AND STARTS TO TRAVEL ALONG IT.

[Unknown Man#1]

And just like that, I'm back on track. I knew a good attitude would do me some good. Even if I had to let loose a few epithets here and there.

BEFORE PROCEEDING DOWN THE PATH THE MAN HEARS SOMEONE BEHIND HIM SNAP AND A TRAIL OF FIRE FORMS IN FRONT OF HIM. THE MAN CHUCKLES AS HE TURNS TO FACE THE PEOPLE PURSUING HIM.

[Unknown Man#1]

I figured that you guys would have caught up to me sooner or later but doing it this quickly makes you seem kind of desperate. You couldn't have given me just a little bit longer to get my ducks in order?

[Unknown Woman#1]

I hope you didn't think that you had gotten rid of us that easily. After all, we were supposed to find this place together... Maxwell.

TO̅MI OBSERVES THE EVENTS FROM A TREE LOOKING AT MAXWELL WITH AN IRRITATED EXPRESSION.

[To̅mi]

(Thinking)

Here I was thinking I was supposed to be the student. Maxwell, you've gotten yourself into it this time. Let's just hope there's a way out.

INT. TAVERN - NIGHT

MAXWELL STUMBLES BACK TOWARD HIS SEAT IN THE BAR WHEN HE BUMPS INTO A WAITRESS. IN A DRUNKEN STOOPER MAXWELL GROPES THE WAITRESS AND SHE THROWS HIM OFF OF HERSELF.

[Maxwell]

(Drunkenly)

My, my, Kathy. I tell you what, if there were a spell to make pillows as soft as your breasts everyone across the universe would get a good night's sleep.

[Kathleen]

It's a shame you still haven't learned how to handle your liquor, Maxwell.

[Maxwell]

(Drunkenly)

I'd get a way better handle on it if it were—!

[Kathleen]

Not another word, Maxwell!

[Maxwell]

(Drunkenly)

Oh, come on, Kathy.

[Kathleen]

It's Kathleen.

[Maxwell]

(Drunkenly)

I suppose it's okay when Burnbridge does it though.

[Kathleen]

Burnbridge is my boss but more importantly, he's not an imbecile.
