It took 20 minutes for us to get to the mall. Once we arrived, we all shuffled out. Price led us in through a store entrance. It had a lot of clothing. Questionable clothing.

"Come on. I know someone who owns a shoe store." He said. I followed behind him. We passed a few stores. Jewelry. Massages. Grunge. When we arrived at the shoe store, it was small. Shoes lined up wall to wall. One side for men and the other for women. "Rico!" Price said.

"Hm." The man grumbled. He looked at us and saw Price. He put out the cigarette he was smoking. "Price! My good friend!" They shook hands. Price was speaking to him but I couldn't hear. I stood at the entrance as Soap, Gaz, and Ghost looked at the shoes. Soap rambling about a pair of Jordans. "Y/N!" Price called me over, snapping my attention from the other. I walked to the man. "Y/N, this is Rico. Rico, this is Y/N Thatcher."

"A Thatcher ay?" He had a thick accent. Spanish.

"Yes sir."

"And what were we looking for today?"

"Heels." Price said.

"For her?" He pointed at me.

"No. For fucking McTavish." Price said, sarcastically.

"Sí, sí, vete a la mierda también. Let's see here." The man got up and walked over. He had a prosthetic leg. He looked at my shoes, glanced at my face, then walked to the heels section.

"Trust him," Price said, putting a hand on my shoulder. I followed Rico.

"These should do." He picked up some sparkly heels. Small rhinestones. But a very thin heel. "Let me get your size." He walked away before I could say anything. I didn't tell him my size. He came back with a box. He sat down on a bench and took them out of the box. They were my size. 7 1/2 in women. "Try it on."

"Sorry?" I asked. He looked up at me like I was a dumbass.

"Take off the boot, try on the heel. Maldito idiota."

"Sí, señor." I unlaced my boot and took it off. I also took off my sock. I hated my feet. I slipped on the heel. It was a perfect fit. "Um." I looked at Price and he walked over.

"What?" I leaned into his ear.

"I've never worn heels."

"Really?" I nodded. "We will take them."

"I-" I tried to speak but I was interrupted.

"How much?"

"For you my friend, half off."

"Nice. So how much?"

"$98." Oh my gosh, that was a lot of money.

"Ok. Take it off and put it back in the box." I did as he asked and walked with him back to the register. Price paid with cash.

"Have a nice day!" Rico said as we walked out. Price asked me something as we walked.

"You've never worn heels?"

"No."

"Have you ever worn a dress?"

"Once. For my grandma's funeral."

"I'm sorry for your loss. But what about your Prom or Homecoming or anything else?"

"I was never interested so I never went. I grew up like a boy so I was never into anything girly."

"OK then. Next stop. Jewelry." We walked into a jewelry store where some people greeted us. "We need bangles, necklaces, earrings. The whole shebang." Price said to one of the women.
