Curtain Call

Chapter 1

  Jenna Pov

    I was sitting in English class staring out the window. I brushed my shoulder length brown hair behind my ear and tried to fix my curtain bangs. I was wearing a black zip up hoodie and a blue crop top. I had on ripped skinny jeans and converse. I grabbed some glass cleaner wipes from my bag to clean my glasses, I sighed.

Today is going to be a long day...

I was in Drama club, It was just a couple weeks before opening night and today was the first day we will be practicing with the stage crew. I had friends in the musical but most of them were in crew. Me and my best friend Liz were both leads. The Musical is called "Guilt" Its about a girl named Cassie that got driven to murder by her 2 bullies, Claudia and Sophia. She becomes mad as she lets the guilt consume her. I'm playing Sophia and Liz is playing Claudia. Musical practice is from 3pm-10pm. School ends at 2:30.

"Jenna?"

The teacher called my name and I jumped back into reality.

"I- um- hm?"

I accidentally knocked my laptop off of my desk as I shifted my position towards her.

"oh my, are you okay?"

the teacher looked over in concern. I just simply nodded my head and picked up my laptop.

"see class? this is why you pay attention!"

the teacher scoffed.

"yeah JENNA."

an asshole joked as his friends laughed. His name was Josh. I wouldn't call him my bully, but he would joke around about me a lot. He was just simply a waste of space and time. He was wearing a messy black hoodie, it was noticeable that he was wearing a white T-shirt under and he had on baggy jean with a black belt.

"Isn't there a bullet somewhere you could be jumping in front of?"

I answered. I wasn't dealing with his nonsense today.

"hey that wasn't nice!"

The teacher scolded me as Josh and his friends laughed at me.

Today sucks...

The bell rung and I was quick to try and get to the door.

"Hey Jenna can we-"

Josh tried stopping me but I pointed at my earbuds and walked away. It was 5th period next and me and Liz usually meet up to walk to class together. I waited for her by a fake garden that the school had next to one of the side entrances. My boyfriend Leo walked up to me with his best friend Iris. Leo was wearing his usual jacket with a t shirt and sweatpants. Iris was wearing a t-shirt from some geeky game and jeans. Iris was very tall overpowering me and Leo.

"Hey babe."

Leo smiled.

"Hey, how's your day going?"

I asked.

"can't really complain, you waiting for Liz?"
