Liz pov
I walked over to Kayla. She was sitting down next to Tina.
"Kayla, was there really a man with a knife in our school?"
I asked. She nodded.
"Do you know what his face looked like?"
Jenna walked up beside me. She shook her head.
"I only really saw his shadow..."
She said. I looked over at the stage and saw a group of people laughing. It was our old friend group. We never really got along with them so we cut them out of our lives. Sadley they were in the musical but they were ensemble so we didn't really have to associate with them. There was a boy named Wyatt. He was the main reason why we left. He had black hair down to his shoulders. He was wearing a black hoodie and green cargo pants. His closest friend Lidia had blonde hair slicked back into a tight ponytail. She was wearing a white hoodie and black leggings with white sneakers. The other friend Anya, had light brown hair with bangs and blonde highlights. She had on a navy blue tank top with a black zip up hoodie and black leggings with dirty sneakers. Ophelia and Theo were also friends with them. They became friends with them after we left. They were the kind of friend group that got into trouble a lot. Smoked, stole stuff, messed with illegal stuff. A lot of bad things we didn't want to be involved in. Wyatt was the main one that did this. He made everyone else do stuff like that even if they refused. He ended up framing Jenna for a lot of things he did to make her look bad. Mostly everyone believed Jenna besides that group. Now whenever we have to talk to them they act like nothing happened. They even tried to befriend us again, But we looked the other way. I looked at them suspiciously Jenna seemed to follow. Something was off, it seemed like they knew something.
Jenna pov
It has been about almost 30 minutes and Mr Lunie still hasn't come back. Me and Jenna were sitting on the floor on our phones bored. Ophelia and Theo seemed to be working with the stage crew making some miner adjustments. I checked the time, 6:30
"Damn this is the most unproductive practice ever."
I said. Liz laughed and grabbed her bookbag.
"What are you doing?"
I asked. She pulled out messy folders and threw it on her lap.
"Might as well get my homework done."
Liz shrugged.
"That's a good idea.."
I said. It was almost 7 and me and Liz were passed out with papers of homework all over us. We got startled by a loud sound and all the lights turned off.
"WHO THE FUCK DISTURBED MY SLEEP BRUH?!"
Liz shouted. Everyone shushed her.
"BITCH!"
Liz started but I covered her mouth as we heard something. We heard scraping like a knife on the walls from outside. It stopped and we heard a big bang like a gun shot, everyone jumped.
"It's him!"
Kayla blurted out. We couldn't see anything.
"We have to hide, NOW."
I grabbed Liz's arm and ran backstage.
"Everyone calm down!"
Ophelia instructed.
"Up there!"
Theo put his phone flashlight on one of the upstairs hidden areas backstage stage where old props are stored. We tried our best to climb up. It was on both sides of the stage so we separated. Everyone turned their phone flashlights off as we heard someone enter the auditorium. We heard him pace around the auditorium flashing his flashlight but thankfully he didn't do a good check backstage. He left and everyone gave a sigh of relief.
