Chapter XV: The Winds of Fate

Koda, Velvet, Vex & Mimi fly back to Gridania on the Enterprise  thanks to Alphinaud and Cid. They still had some before they arrived at Gridania despite the airship being stuck in frozen ruins. This allowed the four talk about what they saw through the Echo. Vex and Mimi we're still trying to figure out how they saw the past of another world. And Koda was still trying to piece together in his head. He already knew about Claudin Asgard and his accomplishments. But the fact that Lahabrea had something to do with it just adds more questions to whole situation he went through. Velvet was not taking this very well, she leaned against the railing of the ship, trying to keep herself together. After seeing the Echo, it only showed just how much her family and her life was affected. It was clear to her that Lahabrea pulled everyone's strings that lead up to Innominat's resurrection and trying to suppress the world. But Velvet now feels that she has to protect what she still holds dear to her. She has to protect Koda and their friends from Lahabrea before he could do something to them. Koda went to check on her while she was deep in thought.

Koda: Hey...

Velvet: !?

Koda: You okay?

Velvet just nods her head at him.

Koda: I had a feeling... I can't imagine with what we just saw.

Velvet: ...I just can't believe it... The cause of those events in the past that lead for me. ...And for you.

Koda: Still... We're only left with more questions and no answers.

Vex and Mimi came over to the two.

Mimi: Are you alright Velvet?

Velvet: Not really. It's really hard for me to take it all in.

Mimi: I can't imagine what you must be feeling... 

Velvet: I appreciate it Mimi.

Mimi went over to Velvet to console her.

Vex: Still though... How is it possible that Lahabrea somehow orchestrated this?!

Koda: I don't know... Just what are the Ascians?

Mimi: No one really knows. Other then them being Bringers of Chaos, that's all we know...

Velvet: ..grrr...  

Koda: It's almost like he just toying with us.

Alphinaud: Do pardon my intrusion to your conversation, but if thier's anything you'd like to discuss, it's alright to share it.

Koda: ......Are you sure you would believe us Alphinaud?

Alphinaud: Of course. Share what's on your minds.

Koda and Velvet looked at each other and agreed. Vex and Mimi were a bit concerned for them to tell Alphinaud and Cid the truth about them. But it was their decision. Koda and Velvet began to slowly explained. Alphinaud just listened and so did Cid while we were still flying to Gridania. 

Alphinaud ponders at the thought after Koda and Velvet tell them.

Alphinaud: ......I see... So that's why the Ascian appeared before you two.
