Taylor and I decided we were going to take the girls bowling. Ok, I decided and Taylor moped around but its not my fault his bowling skills couldn't compare to mine. I'd make it up to him anyways.

We currently going to pick the two of them up from Juliet's house. Apparently the two were really good friends. Go figure.

We pulled up to the small ranch house and as we were about to get out of the car both girls came walking out. I had texted Juliet before we left so they knew we were coming.

Juliet was in a skirt and tank top and Alex wore shorts and a tee shirt with some band I'd never heard of on it. I smiled at Juliet and opened up the passenger side door for her. She smiled and slipped in as Taylor gave me a glare. I rolled my eyes at him as Alex got into the backseat herself.

By the time we got to the bowling ally I had a sneaking suspicion Alex and Taylor knew each other. From the snide comments I didn't quite understand that Alex tossed out to the glares Taylor gave her in return. They just seemed all too familiar with each other, not in a good way either. But to avoid a possible scene I figured I better just ask Taylor later.

"Can we have four player and two games?" Juliet asked the lady at the counter.

"You all need shoes?" The lady asked us and we all nodded. We hold her our sizes and she handed us each a pair of shoes. Juliet went to take out her wallet but I reached out and stopped her taking out my own money giving it to the clerk.

"You didn't need to do that." Juliet said.

"Oh yes I did. I could never let a pretty girl like you pay." I said with a wink and she blushed. Score one for Danny.

"So, how do you two know each other?" I asked Juliet and Alex.

"We met through work since we usually work the same shifts and it turns out we get along just fine so we just became friends. What about you two?" Juliet responded.

"We've been friends forever." I answered.

"Oh and I'm sure you tell each other everything." Alex said while looking at Taylor and he glared at her.

What was that?

"Um, yeah I guess." I said a little unsure after seeing that. Was he hiding something from me? How would Alex be involved. Ugh! This is too confusing.

"Oh I love this song!" Juliet exclaimed and then covered her mouth embarrassed from her outburst. Alex chuckled at her friend.

"Geez, I love you and all but you seriously have the worst taste in music." Alex said and Juliet jokingly shoved her.

"Don't worry, its not that bad." I told her and she pretended to be shocked by holding her hand to her mouth.

"Well obviously you haven't ever heard My Chemical Romance." Alex told me.

"Are you kidding me? They're one of my favorite bands." I said.

"Seriously? Wow, pretty boy has some good taste. I'm impressed." She said and for some reason I felt a lot more confident with myself. Why? I have no clue.

"Well why don't we start playing then?" Juliet said as she inserted our names into the system.

"Good idea." I said with a smirk.

I can't believe I lost. No, not only did I lose but I was killed. Taylor got an 83, Alex a 92, Juliet a 109, and me...a 52. A 52. Whose dumb idea was it to go bowling anyways. I don't know what was more embarrassing; the fact that Juliet got over twice my score or the fact that Alex laughed at me about it for a little too long.

After my horrible defeat we all just sat around and talked and ordered some pizza from the food bar. I turns out Juliet works two jobs, one at the zoo and another at a small restaurant around there to save up for college because she comes from a big family, five siblings, that didn't have too much money. Alex on the other hand works at the zoo because she wants to prove to her parents that she isn't dependent on them. Juliet talked about her affinity of animals and reading, which I found rather cute. Alex and I spent some time talking about video games and music, which we both shared a lot of interest in. Taylor talked but he was a little more quiet than usual, and he isn't a very chatty person on a normal day either. I wonder what his deal is?

We dropped the girls back off and I couldn't help to feel a bit confused. I said goodbye to Juliet and gave her a hug because I somehow felt uncomfortable kissing her while Alex and Taylor whisper to each other. When they were done I gave Alex an awkward handshake and walked back to my car feeling confused.

I liked Juliet and she said she's love to go out again but there was some nagging feeling in the back of my head that told me she wasn't right for me. And as much as I didn't want to believe it, that voice might have been right.
