Sonics POV

I hugged shadow tightly, It had just taken every single ounce of his strength to get into the boscage portal, he was clutching onto my back to make sure he doesn't fall.

"Hey, it's gonna be okay shadow, you feeling better?" I asked shadow

Shadow took a deep breathe before nodding

I broke the hug, Shadow had his arms on my chest and he was leaning against me, I looked in his eyes before kissing his forehead

"Wow, busting through that portal must have been exhausting, wasn't it?" I asked

Shadow nodded again.

We can't just stay like this forever, I gotta move us somewhere, but Shadow was too exhausted to do anything but lean on me.

I began to think for a second, before I kneeled down on one knee

"If this is a marriage proposal, ya know I'm gonna say no, right?" Shadow asked, with a sarcastic tone

I just chuckled

"It's not a marriage proposal, get on my back, your exhausted and we gotta move" I told shadow

Shadow just shrugged before he climbed onto my back, I stood up and grabbed shadows legs, Shadow wrapped his arms around my neck and laid his head on my shoulder

I began walking, now usually I would run, but right now, I don't feel like it, I just wanna enjoy this moment.

As I was walking, I looked up to the sky, I saw thorn rose flying on birdie, and Prim was on birdie as well.

I could tell they both noticed me cause not long after, they landed right in front of me

"Sonic, it's been awhile, who's your new friend?" Prim asked as she got off birdie

"This is my boyfriend shadow" I answered

Prim and Thorn looked kinda surprised,

"Woah, when did you get a boyfriend?" Prim asked with a slight smirk

"I've had him for awhile, he's cute isn't he?" I asked

Both girls shrugged

I smiled and looked at shadow, he is so cute!

~timeskip~

I layed shadow down on some leaves, he can finally get some proper rest after breaking through the portal

I rubbed his cheek before kissing his forehead

Shadow smiled in his sleep.

I smiled slightly but suddenly, a loud crying sound took my attention away from shadow, but it wasn't from any of the scavengers or thorn Rose, and shadow definitely didn't do it

I stood up and started running toward the crying sound, it wasn't anywhere on the scavengers base, but it was down below, I ran down the tree and made it to the ground

I began looking around when I saw who was making the noise. I walked over and saw it, it was a little monkey, and it looked to be all alone.

I picked it up and it almost immediately calmed down.

The monkey looked at me then she climbed up my arm and laid her head on my shoulder, while clinging to the top part of my arm.

I smiled slightly and ran back up the tree, I didn't go as fast, but it was fast enough for me to actually get up the tree.

I grabbed the monkey from my shoulder softly and walked over to shadow.

Shadow was still asleep, so I lightly shook him, he did wake up and he sat up and looked at me

" Everything okay?" He asked with a slight yawn

I smiled and showed him the monkey, Shadow chuckled slightly

"Where did you find them?" Shadow asked as I handed the monkey to him

"Just near the bottom of the tree, she's so tiny and adorable" I answered

Shadow looked at the monkey a bit and smiled before rubbing the top of its head.

"We could take care of her for awhile, if you want to?" I asked

Shadow smiled a bit and nodded before leaning his head on my shoulder

He is so flipping adorable!

~Timeskip~ (Cause I can)

It's been 2 weeks since me and show decided to look after the baby monkey. We even gave her a name, her name is Kayla

The scavengers have been great with her........Kinda

Gnarly keeps aiming his spear at her cause she's "untrustworthy" according to him , and Mangey keeps making hissing noises at her

The only ones we can really trust to watch her when we're busy are Prim, Hangry, and Thorn

Other then that, all 5 are great.

I looked over at shadow, he was asleep beside kayla, We currently don't exactly have a "house" in the scavengers base but hey, we make it work.

I heard a yawn from behind me, I saw shadow waking up from his nap, and Kayla was clinging onto his chest and making happy noises.

I decided to joke around a bit

"Kayla, That's my boyfriend" I said while walking over

Kayla did a happy baby screech before laying her head close to shadows neck

Shadow chuckled

"No, no, no, she's mine" Shadow jokingly told me

"Kayla" I called again

"I think she called dibs" shadow shot in

"Kayla"

"Kayla The monkey, that's my boyfriend" I jokingly said again

She made more happy baby screech before laying her head on shadows chest

Me and shadow were both laughing before I walked over and kissed his cheek.

My family is great, and I wouldn't have it any other way
