I barely registered what Tamiko had done before I felt the heat of an overloaded explosion.

"Tamiko!" Ei screamed and it was then that I realized what my sister had done.

"No," I whispered "no Tamiko you did not just..."

After the explosions roar had died back, the thunder Sakura flashed blue/pink and the dark fog over the islands disappeared and the monsters vanished.

There was dead silence before the whole of inazuma erupted into cheers, "Hail! The Shogun!" And, "Raiden has saved inazuma!"

I didn't care what they thought, I fell to my knees. "Tamiko." I cried softly, "You shouldn't have done this! We could have found another way!"

I knew she couldn't have heard me, but I swear I heard her laugh softly before silence and emptiness took the place she had once held in my heart.

Ei knelt at my side and put her hand on my shoulder, "Miko, I know it hurts. I was just there, shoot, I'm still there. We can take this loss together, I will be with you through this, Miko."

I wiped my eyes but they stubbornly teared up again, "Thank you, Ei, I will remember you offer, ha, I am a fox envoy after all." I tried to laugh but couldn't, "we will do this together, Ei."

"Together," Ei smiled sadly, wrapping her arms around me, "don't forget that Miko, you are not alone in this, never alone.
