Chapter 5: 🍋New Order: PT: 5 LEMON🍋

Have you ever seen a newborn bird fall out of the nest and be unable to stop itself from falling? Well that's exactly what had happened to me. I was only able to slow myself down enough to get a grip on the walls for a second before launching myself forward and onto one of the rooftops across the street from the Hidden Lotus Apartments.

However my landing wasn't exactly what you would call graceful. When I crashed I immediately felt several of my bones crack as the wind got knocked out of me. I then rolled so viciously and so many times that I dislocated my right shoulder, shattered my left leg, and even did something to my internal organs. The massive concussion didn't help at all either.

And yet I managed to still keep a hold of my gear and my senses. I used my unbroken limbs to drag myself across the roof to the fire escape before falling once more down a flight of stairs. Which is where I remained for a good several minutes as I let my busted bones heal while coughing up a more than favorable amount of blood.

But despite the still lingering pain in the rest of my body I forced myself to stand up and keep running as not only UDPD's finest had taken to the scene, but also the security force from The Hidden Lotus was on the move as well.

I nearly got caught a few times on my way back which kept me from getting home until the ass crack of dawn. Once I did stumble in through the back door I removed my mask and immediately went to the faucet in the kitchen, gulping down as much water as I could because I was so thirsty and to get rid of the taste of my own blood.

I swished and spat a good several times before rinsing what remained down the drain. Thankfully I didn't have to clean up this time and so I just stripped my still aching body of my gear and threw it under the floor boards.

I was too tired to even check my phone or do anything else. The only thing or rather the only one that forced me to stay awake until the light of dawn peeked over the horizon was Luna. But I eventually drifted into a dreamless sleep.

When I checked my clock next to my bed I saw that I had slept until lunch as I woke up to my phone going off.
"Ughnnn, fuck me."
I muttered before letting out a yawn and a cat like stretch.
"Yellow?"
I asked still groggy before I heard Beatrix's voice on the other end.

"If that is some kind of joke because of how I'm a Bee then it needs some work. But it's about fucking time you answered, where the hell did you go?!!"
She yelled so loud that I had to pull my head away from the phone for a moment.

"First of all ow, second of all I went for a walk to clear my head so that I didn't constantly think that the only person I have left in my life was going to die."
As I swung my legs out of bed I put my phone on speaker and walked over to my bathroom.
"How's Luna, did she already have the surgery or what?"
I asked before lifting the lid on the toilet and began draining my snake.

"First of all.."
She mocked.
"Are you seriously taking a piss with me on the phone?!"

I shrugged.
"When nature calls yada yada."

I heard her sigh as I flushed.
"Second of all she had the surgery while you were on you're walk. She pulled through and is now in recovery."
As soon as I heard this I jumped for joy like a little kid on Christmas.
"She's been going in and out of consciousness due to the painkillers and sedative they have her on but other than that she's okay."

"Thank fuck, how are you and Victoria doing?"
I asked.

"We're alright, still shaken up but okay to say the least."
I didn't even care to look through my dresser for another outfit so I just put the one on that I had before I Zeroed Victor.
"One of the perks of being the Counselor's daughter is that I was able to keep the cops from talking to Tori and I until my new security detail arrived."
