. . ."Are you kidding me, that movie was everything why didn't you like it?" I begin with a pout, switching the tv off using my free hand.
Madison, who's sitting cris-cross on the carpeted floor in front of the Tv shrugs, "wanna know something I never got about you?" Madison asks, looking over her shoulder.
"Yes?"
"How the fuck do your 'favorite' movies go from cute rom-coms to gory horror movies- Hannah what the fuck-" I laugh and shrug. Comet, who was laying on the soft, navy blue armchair in the living room that he definitely wasn't supposed to be on, sat up- as if he had a question for the movie we just watched (Terrifier 2) that he two wanted to voice.
"It wasn't even that scary" I say as I lift myself off the couch. I was lying- a few times when Madison wasn't looking I definitely jumped and almost had a heart attack or had to stop eating my popcorn and look away- but, I refuse to admit that.
"You're lying to yourself" Madison says with a roll of her eyes, "and I hope you admit that you were scared".
"Sure I was" I brought the small, plastic black bowl to the kitchen, walking across the hard wood floor to the sank built into the white- golden marble counters.
Being the good big sister/ babysitter I am, I wash the bowl and the rest of the dishes while Maddy leans against the kitchen island and scrolls through TikTok on her phone. "Dude, did you know Paris Pastel is pregnant?"
"No way!" I gasp, almost dropping the spoon I was washing on the floor, "seriously?"
"Yes!" Maddy pulls her phone away from her face and says, "apparently, it was Brad Gosling which- totally checks out because he's a man whore".
"He's not!" I chuckle, "what if he's a sex positive feminist?"
"Obviously the sex can't be that positive if he couldn't bother using protection".
I shake my head and laugh at the dark haired girl. By then, I had finish the small amount of dishes and so I wash my hands before reaching into the fridge to get something like a Coke to drink.
"You think they're keeping it?" I ask, getting two bottles of coke- I hand one to Madison. "Nah" she replies with a shrug, "Paris's parents are rich as hell- if she keeps it her parents will defo ship her away or some shit and Brad? He just won't be a father".
Opening my soda and taking a swig of it, I nod my head in agreement.
"God, only three more weeks until Thanksgiving break" Maddy sighs. I wrinkle my nose, "you're the only teen I know who enjoys thanksgiving".
"Why wouldn't I?" She questions, folding her arms over her chest which I guess is hard since the coke and her phone are in her hand.
"Because- it's filled with bad foods- and nosy aunts asking about- boyfriends" I pretend to puke when saying the B word.
Madison laughs, "oh yeah, you're defo gay".
"Oh-" I gasp, acting all surprised she knew, "what would've gay you that idea?"
"Your constant smiling and the twirling of your hair whenever you look at Amanda Tanner".
