Chapter 22

Toby's POV

I grew tense, her eyes started to glow a deep red. "Gemma!" I grabbed her shoulder tightly. "I'm going to kill him once he shows his face in this house." She said. Her eyes never leaving the dark corner. "I'm going get Slender." Jack said, turning around and walking out of the infirmary. Rain and I just stared at her in shock. After a few failed attempts to calm her down, Slender and Jack walked back in. "What's going on?" Slender asked. Gemma only growled, "Zalgo got to her." I said. Slender walked in front of her and knelt down. "Child, you need to calm down, he isn't here-" "He's laughing right at me! How isn't he here?!" She snapped and looked at Slender. "He's only trying to get into your head, he does that. He wants to see how sane you are... He wants to make you go insane, you and Rain are the only sane ones here, he will try to get at her too." "If he tries any of that, and I mean anything! I will not hesitate on killing him." She growled, then hissed. She looked at her arm, "Is that... Black blood?" Rain asked. We all looked at her arm in concern. Gemma's eyes widened, "He won't be killing any of you! I will kill him first!" She yelled and bolted out of the room. "Get her! Don't let her out of here!" Slender yelled to Jack. He ran out chasing after her. "DON'T TOUCH ME!" She screamed, "I'M TRYING TO PROTECT YOU ALL!!" She screamed again. We saw Jack walk back in with her over his shoulder. He placed her on the bed. "It's better if you don't try to kill him." Slender said calmly. "Why? Because he's your 'Lord'?!" She mocked. "You're acting ridiculous and irresponsible!" "You're being biased." She snapped angrily. "Me being biased? You're the one being biased! What about everyone else?! What if you die and leave everyone else behind?! You'll be hurting everyone else, including me, and you'll be leaving behind caring killers that are in this house! Once you get that through your head then you can play fair." He growled and stood up. He walked out. She looked at the corner and growled. "Fine, I won't do anything." She said standing up. He started walking away and me and Rain started following her. "Lets just go to bed, best thing to do right now." I said to Gemma, "Yeah.." She said looking down. I grabbed her hand tightly and kissed her cheek. She smiled softly, but it quickly faded into a frown when we got to her room. It was dark, her grip on my hand tightened and her muscles were taunt. "You see him again, don't you?" I asked and she nodded. I turned the light switch on and she instantly wasn't tense anymore. "Well good night you guys... We'll... Figure everything out in the morning." She sighed. She walked towards her room. We entered ours. I stated at her as she stalked into our room. "Gemma..." I said. "What?" He asked snapping her head towards me. I bit my lip taking off my goggles and mask. "He won't hurt us." I said reasurringly. She seemed pretty fazed by that. "He will! He fucking hurt me! I felt that... THING! Inpale me! I've never felt pain until now." She said breathing heavily. I sighed, "I know, I'm sorry." I walked up to her and hugged her softly. "Lets clean it up." I walked with her to the bathroom and I sat her on the toilet. She started chuckling. "This is funny... I'm always the one getting my scraps cleaned. And it's almost always you." She smirked.

Eyeless Jack's POV

I heaved a sigh as I walked into the kitchen. I dug around the fridge and found my jar of kidneys. I smiled behind my mask. I heard footsteps come from behind. I quickly turned around to see Rain just walk in. "Morning." She said tiredly. She then stopped and looked at My hands. "What's in the jar?" She asked. "Kidneys." I said quickly. "Eww." She stuck her tongue out in slight disgust. "You are mortal, you may not find my food good, and I do not find most of your food good." I chuckled. "Yeah, yeah." She waved me off. She walked past me and poured herself a bowl of cereal. "So, let's discuss more of this Zalgo, Gemma business." I said. She groaned, "He has her paranoid." "Only way to get under her skin." She ate the cereal and I pulled a kidney out. "Nasty man." She gagged. "Don't watch then." I put it on a plate and walked into the dining room. She followed, "He's suppose to be coming later this afternoon." I said. "Shit.." She sat across from me. "We could keep her away from him." She suggested. "Can't, he will want to see everyone's fighting skills..." I said and groaned. She groaned as well. "This is going to be the most difficult thing I have ever done in my life." I lifted my mask and took a bite out of it. Rain gagged and looked away, "Man, you nasty!" She gagged more, I chuckled evilly. "I love kidneys though, maybe you should try some." I shoved it close to her. "EWWW! Don't put it next to me!" She threw herself back, kicking the chair out from under herself. She fell onto the floor laughing, I laughed too. "Come on! Lets be serious!" I laughed. She growled at me, "Don't put human organs in my face then!" She yelled at me. "I only asked if you wanted to try a nibble." I smirked behind my mask. "Well, I don't want a fucking nibble of that damned kidney." She smirked back. I shook my head and leaned back into my chair, "But really, I wonder what'll happen once he gets here." I sighed. "We should just wait it out and see..." She shrugged and sat back in her chair. "Yeah..."

>2 hours later<

We all stood on the steps as Slender told us. Gemma growling so loudly and angerly, it scared Smile dog. Jeff soothed him, "She won't hurt you." Then there was a loud booming knock on the door. Slender opened the door and let in Zalgo. He walked in with a trumphiant smirk on his lips. "Ahh, the proxies of Slender." He eyes us all, but stopping at Gemma. "And, our little demon here." Gemma and Toby were just in front of me and Rain. Gemma was tense and Toby was holding onto her, like their lives deepened on it. "Fuck you, you seven mouth fuckface." She snapped. "That's not how you treat you Lord, Gemma." He walked closer to us. "Another new face, the girl who controls the elements," He snickered. "Rain." She just stared at him unfazed, but you could only see her tense slightly. "Zalgo." She said as calmly as she could. "So, all, but two, are phycotic-?" "You don't know jack shit. I maybe even more phycotic than Jeff, even you." Gemma said. He stared at her like a nasty bug was just spotted. "You are not phycotic. You're just a mere demon." He smirked. "You're practically a demon too. You just can't face it." She snickered. He growled and walked up to her, everyone moved out of his way so he could make it towards her. "You don't even know who I am. No one does." He leaned down so they were face to face. "Not even you?" She said nonchalantly.

~3 hours later~

Everyone was roaming around now. Zalgo and Slender went into Slender's office to talk. "God this is so stressful..!" Rain had groaned and threw herself onto my lap. I looked down at her confused as she snuggled into my thighs. "Yeah it is." I placed my hand on her head and stroked her hair. She smiled widely and snuggled into me more. "I just hope Gemma does do something drastic. Or anything that'll get her killed." She said and looked up at me. I nodded and stared back down at her. She chuckled and sat back up, "Arg!!! So stressful!!!" She ruffled her long light brown hair and groaned. "I think it's actually time to head down to the fighting arena." I said standing up. "Crap." She scoffed and stood up too. "Lets head on down then." We walked to the arena, half expecting it was going to go easy and half doubting it isn't going to end very well.
