Chapter 14

Gemma's POV

I woke up screaming then I started panting "Oh my god... what was that about?!" I said to myself. I looked around not seeing Toby anywhere "He must've gotten up before me..." I sighed and jumped out of bed and grabbing a pair if clothes then into the shower I went. I don't know how long I took, but it felt like forever, I finished and dried myself off and threw my clothes on and ran out of the bathroom and out my bedroom 'I hope I'm not late!!' I thought to myself. I got to the stairs and Slender was standing there waiting I ran down to him "Sorry I'm late!" I said when I got to him "It's okay your only five minutes late." I stared at him 'Only five? wow...'

I smile "Okay, then lets get going!" he nodded and we both started walking "So, am I fighting again today?" he looked down at me "Yes you will." we continued to walk an then we made it to the training area. My eyes widen when I saw Toby practicing "I'm not going to fight Toby!" I crossed my arms over my chest "Yes you are, no matter whom it is your going to fight them." he said pushing me in now "No! Slender stop!" but he continued to push me. I summoned my sword and jumped out of Slender's way "I said I'm not going to fight him Slender!" I pointed the sword at him "Child-" "It's Gemma!" I yelled he sighed "Gemma, don't do anything stupid..." he looked at me "Why did you pick him to be the next person to fight?!" Toby turned and saw us "Gemma?" I just looked over at him "No Toby, I'm not going to fight you..." I looked back at Slender who was reaching for my sword I pulled it away "Don't touch my sword." I growled at him he just brought his hand back "Gemma stop, your going to have to fight once in a while." Slender crossed his arms over his chest I growled "FINE! But I'm not doing this for you!" I sneered and walked away making my sword vanish then I grabbed my throwing knives. Toby came walking up behind me I just turned and glared at him "You could've told me." I growled he just turned his head and rubbed the back if his head "I wanted to but... He said not to say anything to you..." I just grabbed the knives and walked away "I have a fight to win." he just stared at me "I want you to fight for real, no saying that you can't because you will and I will force you." I said to him then I threw a knife past Slender's head "That was a warning. Never put me against him again." My eyes started to glow then I held out my hand and the knife came back. I started practicing what I was doing yesterday 'I want to hold back but if I do I'll just put more pressure onto myself.' I thought and I sighed "I'm done practicing..." I said quietly and Toby also said louder though "Okay! Ready... FIGHT!" I just turned and glared at Toby who was running towards me I started running after him too. I summoned my sword and swung at him be blocked it with his hatchets. They clashed together and I jumped back from the impact. I pulled out my throwing knives and I started throwing them at Toby, he dodged all of them as he ran at me. He held up a hatchet an strikes my shoulder, I screamed as it contacted my skin. I saw Toby look at me sadly but my eyes just stared to glow "Get out of my face." I said flatly and kicked his stomach making him fly away. I grabbed the hatchet in my shoulder and pulled it out "SON OF A BITCH!!" I yelled in frustration and threw the weapon to the floor I grabbed my shoulder and it started to heal by itself.

Toby's POV

I grunted when I was kicked. I looked up at her as she threw my hatchet to the floor. Her eyes started to glow, I was starting to get scared, 'why should I be afraid of her? She's my girlfriend...' I gulped and jumped to my feet "Lets make this a fair fight... hand-to-hand combat." She chuckled evilly "Okay then. No weapons just hands." I smirked and threw my hatchet down and she her throwing knives and vanishing her sword. "Lets do this Ticci." she cackled I just smirked "Lets do this Reeds." she just growled at me "I am no longer Reeds!" she came running at me quickly and punched my face. I stumbled back holding my cheek "Oh, so Reeds isn't your name anymore?" she kept growling "No! Now stop calling me Reeds!" she ran at me again but I grabbed her hand and stopped her "Well too bad, R.E.E.D.S..." she snarled and brought her other hand up but I stopped that one too. "Come on I thought you were strong." I cackled "Shut your mouth, Twitch!" I glared at her "Don't call me Twitch!" I pushed her away "Why? What are you going to do.... T.W.I.T.C.H!" she hissed with a cackle. I growled loudly "I said don't!" She just glared at me and I glared at her too. we ran at each other dodging each punch the other gave, soon what felt like minutes was hours Slender stopped the fight with both us panting glaring at each other "Fights over!" he teleported down in front of both of us "Really good fight, lasted for two hours, and I'm proud none of you gave up." he patted my shoulder and patted Gemma's head. She looked pale and tired "Hey Gemma are yo-" She cut me off "I'm fine." she turned and placed the knives down "Slender I'm going now." she said and walked out of the training room. I sighed and followed her "Gemma..." she just stopped and looked at me sadly "I'm sorry..." she looked at the floor "It's not your fault... you were kinda forced right? I won't blame you." she looked up at me and forced a smile. I just stared at her "It's not that... you don't look too good..." she just looked at me confused "I'm fine, just tired out." She smiled "Come on let's go get cleaned up and sit around and be fatties she chuckled holding her hand out for me "Okay, I don't mind being a fatty right now." I laughed and so did she. We made it to her room and she walked in "I'll see you downstairs." she smile and kissed my cheek and went in shutting her door. I smiled and walked off into my room and jumped into the shower after I pulled my clothes off. Once I finished I wrapped a towel around my waist and blow dried my hair and I put my mask and goggles back on. I finished putting my clothes on a d I walked out going to Gemma's room to see if she were done, I walked into her room looking around. I walked to her bathroom door and knocked "Hey Gemma?" I didn't hear anything so I walked in seeing her on the floor in her underwear and a big shirt on "Gemma?!" I kneeled down next to her feeling her head "Oh my god! Your burning up!" she just looked at me weakly then let out a shaky sigh "Sorry... I'm a... sickly person..." she said panting I just picked her up bridal style and ran down to the infirmary "Dr. Smily?!" He turned "Yes?" I just shook my head "Wh-what are you doing here? I thought your vacation was longer?!" he smiled and nodded "Yeah it was, but I wanted to come back and see everyone, getting home sick I guess." he laughed and I remembered Gemma. "Oh yeah, I found Gemma on the floor in her bathroom, it seems like she has a cold or something I don't know." I place her on the bed. Dr. Smily looked at me weird "Who's she?" he pointed at her "New proxy..." "Ohhh, I see." he nodded and walked up to her.

Gemma's POV

I woke up in the infirmary, "Ugh... how'd I get down here?" I placed my hand on my throbbing head I turned to see a man in a doctors coat "Umm, Hello?" he turned and smile "Oh! Your awake!" I looked at him confused "Oh, I'm Dr. Smily, and you?" I smiled back "I'm Gemma." I held my hand out and he reached for it and we shook hands "Ooh, so polite, that's a first for a new proxy." Laughed then turned and finished placing everything in the cabinets then turned back to me "Well, it was a pleasure meeting you, I'll go tell Toby your awake now." he was about to walk out when I said something "How long was I sleeping?" He turned to me "About ten days." he nodded his head to approve that "Okay... Thank you." he nodded and walked out. I laid there staring at the ceiling when I heard footsteps running, they got user when suddenly the door bursted open, I jumped slightly and I squeaked, I saw Toby looking at me out of breathe "Y-your finally a-awake." he panted and walking over to me and hugged me tightly "Yeah." I smiled and I hugged him back. Suddenly I heard more running steps these ones seems to be smaller I knew exactly who it was. Sally. She was at the door holding her bear. She had tears in her eyes just begging to fall out I looked over and smiled "Hey there Sally." Tears began to fall down her small fragile face then shakily said "G-Gemma...?" tears started to well up in my eyes just seeing her cry "I'm back." I sobbed out and she ran over to me and jumped onto the bed and hugged me tightly "I missed you sooo much!!!" she sobbed on my shoulder I just rubbed and patted her head "I missed you too." Toby looked at us and smiled "Hey what's the date today?" I asked Toby turned and looked at the calendar "Uh, July 13. Why?" my eyes widen "My birthday is in two days..." he looked at me shocked "T-then you'll become immortal..." I nodded and Sally sat on the edge of the bed "I don't want you to leave..." she sniffed and looked at me sadly "Awe... I'll be back in two days. not that long." I looked at her bears face which was looking at me I looked at it confused 'Its head wasn't turned when she came in... weird.' I smiled "Okay? I'll be back then okay?" she nodded and hugged me "Hey, maybe later, can we all play tag or hide-and-seek outside?" I looked at Toby he shrugged I smiled "Yeah when I get out and take a shower." she smiled "Okay! I'll see you later then!" she giggled and kissed y cheek then ran out, before she left I looked at the bear again it looked like it was grimacing, I shuddered "Uh... what's up with the teddy bear?" Toby looked at me shocked "What do you mean?" "Well when she walked in it looked normal, then when she was sitting at the edge of the bed it had its head turned looking at me... and when she left, it had a grimacing feature..." he looked at me "That thing is the devil it's self!" I looked at him confused "Why?" he just sat on my bed and placed a finger on my lips "Shh, don't talk about him..." I just pushed his hand away "Okay then..." We laughed "Well lets get you to your room and get you cleaned." I smiled "Yes please!" he laughed and picked me up bridal style. I squeaked "I can walk!" I blushed. With one arm around his neck ad the other holding down the gown to hide my ass.
