"Thanks Chad for buying me lunch! I was so excited about coming to school that I forgot to get my wallet" Selene munches on the strawberry melonpan as if she a chipmunk eating nuts. She leans against Ichigo, sipping away on her strawberry milk."Oh back to the conversation! So yall went and saw Don....keyneegee...live?" Selene tries to pronounce the man's name, but she couldn't quite remember.
"Don Kanonji" Chad corrects her which made her snap her finger in sudden remembrance. She doesn't watch too much television; she'd rather be in her garden taking care of her babies.
"So this Kanonji guy is like a spirit fighter or something?" She asks still confused of what's this guy's purpose. The show sounds entertaining in her head, but she doubts he's actually fighting monsters.
Keigo suddenly pops out of nowhere into her face with a slightly offended expression. Their faces about 6 inches apart. Selene just looks at him with a confused face, tilting her head to the side a bit.
"There's no way you haven't heard of the New Century's Premier Spiritualist! What about his signature laugh" As he was about to do Don Kanonji's signature laugh, but his face was pushed away, roughly, by an orange haired male.
"You're too close Keigo! Back up" Ichigo said with his usual scowl. Keigo had large crocodile tears running down his face. "There's go Ichigo being overprotective again" Mizurio said with a playful laugh.
Ichigo rolls his eyes at the comment trying to look indifferent, but the slight blush on his face said otherwise.
Fortunately for him, nobody seem to noticed -well Selene did notice and when she did she smile. She love seeing his embarrassed face.
"I'm not being overprotective, I just didn't want Keigo to get his spit on her. Didn't want her to catch his stupidity" He mutters while taking a bite from his lunch. This cause Selene and Mizurio to laugh.
"Well I guess that's an actual concern"
"NOW YOU GUYS ARE JUST BEING MEAN"
They continue to catch Selene up on everything that happened when she was absent.

It was finally the end of the day, which means she could hangout with her friends. Chad had promised to help Keigo and Mizurio with something the previous day, so it was just her and Ichigo, not that she mind.
"Yass, it's the end of the day! Ichigo, let's go to the plushy shop! You said we'd go when I get better and now I'm better" Selene said excitedly. She wanted this cute penguin plushy she saw back in May. She hopes that they still have some in stocks. She was so excited that she couldn't help fiddling with her school bag.
"Sur-" before Ichigo could agree, Rukia runs up to them. The two shared a look that Selene had no idea was about.
"S-Sorry Selene, could we possibly do a rain check? I forgot I had something to do with Rukia" Ichigo said rather awkwardly. Selene looks at the two for a bit with a blank face before quickly covering it up with a smile.
"Yeah, just call me when you make it home" Selene hugs him briefly before watching him run off with Rukia. She waves at them until the two figures disappear. She lets her hand fall to her side with a disappointed frown.
"No wonder he remembers her name."
She decides to walk to her favorite ice cream parlor. She got one scoop of chocolate and cookies and cream. She decides to spoil herself and get a chocolate waffle cone.
"Hmm, it's my first day back out...I don't want to go home just yet" she mutters to herself. She takes small licks of her cold treat. She got the wonderful idea to go and sit by the river bank to watch the sunset. She could never get tired of watching the blue sky turn to a reddish orange as the big star descending.
She walks to a small hill that was a perfect view of the sun setting. She placed her school bag down on the warm prickly grass and sits on it. She finishes her ice cream and was now looking at the sun. It was calming, relaxing.
"It looks better here than at the garden."
When she's at home she usually spends most of her time in her garden. She even turned an old wooden shed into her own little dream room. It might've taken months to get it perfect, but it was worth it.She loves watching the moon shine upon the plants. Though watching the sunset from there isn't as good as watching it by the river.
She closes her eyes feeling the warm June breeze. She lays back onto the grass. Her box braids spread through the grass as if they were vines. She lets out a soft sigh.
Suddenly a loud awful screech pierced the air, causing Selene to sit up abruptly.
The screech was the same as that day she fell sick. She looks in the direction she thinks it came from. She sees a little boy with a chain on his chest running.
Instantly recognizing it as a spirit she quickly gets up. She's been able to see spirit for as long as she could remember. She didn't know why, but she could.
Her Aunt never gave her a reason for why she could see them. It wasn't until she started school that she realized how abnormal she was.
She squint her eyes a bit to the terrified look on the spirit's face.
"HELP ME! PLEASE HELP" The boy, who looks no older than 9 years old. She suddenly feels the ground trembling as if it were afraid as her. She see a huge ugly looking monster chasing the boy.
It was gigantic with a white mask. It had body features of a toad
Her heart starts racing and not even in the good way. Her legs tremble beneath her staying rooted to ground refusing to move.
Her skin grew thorns with Oleander flowers blooming in her braids. This feeling was all too familiar, but now she knew the cause of it.
"M-Monster" was the only thing she could say.
