5.| Aftermath

"So comfy" Selene roll around in Ichigo's bed, being careful to not roll off the bed. It smells just like him.

The smell actually tickle her heart a bit. It has been so long since she has slept over.

It was refreshing.

Since her aunt was probably working overnight she decided to stay over. She made sure to call her aunt and was elated when her aunt approved especially since it was a school night.

"After that shower, I'm feeling tired." She yawns loudly and plops her head on his pillows.

Selene's hand drape across her stomach. She feels the fabric of the shirt she borrowed from her childhood friend.

It was a bit tight around the chest area since Ichigo owns mostly slim fitted t shirts. She would've borrowed a hoodie but the two he had were getting washed.

Luckily, she did have some shorts she left over a couple months back.

"Even his clothes are comfortable and warm....almost like him...look at me saying weird crap" she covers her heated face and rolls around like crazy. Roses starts blooming throughout her hair.

"Why are you squirming around in my bed for? You look like a creep" said boy she was just finding over. She looks over at him feeling embarrassed at getting caught. He was wearing one of his tshirts and jogging pants with a slightly damp towel draped over his shoulders.

"You're the creep" she retorts. Childish it may be but she couldn't think of anything on the top of her head. Ichigo scoffs out a laugh at her lame comeback.

"You know you have rose petals all over the bed now"

Not knowing what else to say she just covers herself with the blanket. That caught Ichigo's attention real quick. "What do you think you're doing Selene?" He pulls on the blanket, but she had a death grip on it.

"I'm going to sleep is what I'm doing" she said from under the blanket.

"I think you have the wrong bed" He grunts out as they begin playing tug of war with his blanket. He got a bit of the blanket from her revealing her face.

"Where else would I sleep then? The couch? I think not. I'm sleeping in my bed. Plus I'm sure Karin and Yuzu are asleep" she pulls stubbornly and scowls at him. He scowls right back.

"Your bed?! Last time I checked your bed is down the street"

"I have two beds this one and that one!"

"You can't be claiming other folks bed"

"Yes I can. And what's the big deal? It ain't like I never slept in your bed before" she yanks the blanket, but it did nothing. They could do this all day...maybe not Selene since she gets bored easily but still she was petty.

"The big deal is where would I sleep cause I'm not sleeping on the couch either" he yanks the blanket this time, pulling Selene across the bed a bit.

"We can just sleep together like old times" she offers. It seems like a very good solution. She knew Ichigo practically her whole life and they shared beds before, so she didn't see much of a problem, at the moment.

"D-Don't put it like that! And we were kids. I don't think a young man should be sleeping in the same bed as a young lady" he coughs awkwardly. His cheeks were a light shade of red. Selene burst out laughing causing her to release the blanket.

He was taking it so seriously. She couldn't help but find him adorable when he didn't know what to do. Over all these years of knowing him, she knows he sucks with anything dealing with girls and romance.

He was so adorable when he got like this. "So you see me as a woman?" She asks teasingly. She moves closer to him which cause his face to turn a deeper shade of red. Before he could retort, Rukia opens the closet door urgently.

"We got orders" without wasting any time, she punch his soul out of his body. His physical body went limp and fell forward onto Selene. His soul form was wearing a shihakushō and his sheath was rather large. It looked like one of those hero swords you see on a cartoon.

To be fair though Selene found him even more cool.

"Orders?" Selene look at the two confused. Was orders supposed to be code name for monster. Rukia nods at the teen.

"Yeah, we gotta take care of some hollows" the short girl grabs Ichigo's collar and jumps out the window. Selene rush to look out the to make sure they were okay. They land safely and were up and at it.

She sighs in relief. "Get back here safely, Ichigo." She mumble softly.

"Just like last time the hollow wasn't there. I think you need to get that thing checked" Ichigo grumbles as they made way back into his room through the window. He was annoyed. For the past couple of days, when they get some orders the hollow would just not be there.

"It's not my fault. Urahara hasn't been answering the phone....I might have to go pay him a visit" Rukia mumble to herself. She was trying to rest the device like Urahara showed her, but it wasn't working.

"Whatever, I'm exhausted and we have school in the morning" Ichigo leaps to get up to the window. He looks down to see Selene was already asleep in his bed with his soulless body lying beside her. She was hugging his arm tightly.

She look rather peaceful completely different from her energetic self.

"And you say your relationship with this human is purely friendship" Rukia laughs a little and go into the closet. Ichigo was going to shout at the shorter girl, but decides against it.

There was a high chance Selene would wake up. He just gets back into his body and sighs. He tries to move, but she wraps her arms around his arm tightly not budging in the slightest. "Goodnight.." he said softly just accepting the predicament.

"Isshin is still as energetic as ever. Man I really miss coming over every day. I miss Yuzu's cooking and Karin's snarky comments" Selene twirls around as they walk to school. "Oh I never introduced myself" she stops in front of Rukia. She takes her the shorter girl's hand.

"I'm Selene Shima. I hope we become the best of friends" she shakes her hand excitedly. Since they weren't love rivals she could be friends with her without trouble.

"Oh I'm Rukia Kuchiki and yes I hope so as well" Rukia said a little surprise by the girl friendliness.

"So could you tell me more about soul reapers?" Selene asks wanting to know about what Ichigo is now.

"Oh of course. I could give you the rundown of it" Rukia gives the girl a smile.
