Harry and Ginny were laughing their heads off in wizardry as Professor Flitwick explained spells they had learnt years ago. Indignant, the little professor had asked Harry if he could recite this extremely difficult curse to spells and Harry had done it non-verbally, resulting in a scowl from Hermione and twenty points for Gryffindor from the professor.

The DADA classroom looked like it had in Harry's time, except that the desks and chairs were gone.

"Today," the teacher, Professor Dolowney, began without beating about the bush, "we will be having practical tests in duelling. Who can say useful spells?"

The time travellers' hands shot up.

"Yes, Mr?"

"Granger, sir. Harry Granger. Good curses for fighting are Expelliarmus, stupefy, protego, protego horribilis, brackium emendo, confundo, confringo, draconifors, dinimoendo, finite incartatem, flagrate, the batwight's curse, flipendor, fumos, furunculus, immobilus, impendimenta, incendio, locomotor corpis, piertotum locomotor, reductio, rictumsempra, serpensortia, wingardium leviosa, vipera evanesca, levicorpus, sectumsempra, cruciatus, ascendio, invulnerabilis, letum, indefensus, perturbare, oblivisci, avada Kedavra, siste, labi, lubricum, lentus, sine mente, noster, mentus, dolorsus, petrificus totalus, a -"

"Oh, Mr Granger, how do you know all that? Sounds like you're an Auror."

"Something like that," Harry said. "I ended up -" "We had a duelling club at Durmstrang, twice a week, for the first three years, we practised really hard," Hermione interrupted him.

"Aha? And how does your dear brother know all the bad curses, like serpensortia?" Professor Dolowney didn't look very convinced.

"A classmate who hated Harry unleashed a lot of curses on Harry when he was practising last year. Serpensortia is fought with vipera ivanesca, by the way."

"Good, good. Now pair up and practise the duel."

Of course, no one wanted to fight with Harry, so in the end only James Potter was left, who ran his hands through his hair smugly.

"You'll see, Granger," he said and sent out an expelliarmus at lightning speed, which Harry blocked non-verbally and sent back a levicorpus and stupor.

Harry's dad shouted, "protego!" and created a shield, but it was nothing compared to Harry's trained, extremely powerful magic and the levicospus burst it, causing the stupor to hit James and knock him to the floor.

The classroom was silent. The duel had taken less than ten seconds and Harry had won hands down, even without saying a word.

James's head was bright red. "You used a different spell, it doesn't count," he shouted angrily.

Harry remained composed, although it stung him when his dad gave him a hostile look.

"I was just doing what I always do, even if I give more to Death Eaters. They know how to fight."

Suddenly Harry was furious and didn't see his father in front of him, but a boastful boy called James.

Now James wasn't his father either.

"Harry, come on, don't get involved," Hermione pulled Harry away by the sleeve. "Ginny just flattened her opponent, duel her and then duel me."

Harry and Ginny's duel lasted a full five minutes and Harry only won by a small margin when Ginny was distracted by a boy called Sirius Black who tried to flirt with her.

"Right, now," the teacher said when the last duel was finished, "please line up this way. Three-minute duels will decide who wins. The winner goes one place to the right, the loser one to the left. you stay on the far right and far left. Let's go!"

Of course, the drifters went to the far right at the start, but were driven out by the time travellers after just five duels. Harry was now in second place from the right, facing his godfather Sirius Black, who eyed him hostilely.

"Afraid, Granger?" he hissed.

"Dream on!" Harry hissed.

"Here we go!" shouted Dolowney and bangs and shouts of "Expelliarmus, protego and levicorpus" rang out.

Sirius fired a levicorpus and Harry let it fall back without faltering. Sirius was pulled off his feet by his own curse and was now hanging upside down from the ceiling. Harry sent another half-hearted Expelliarmus after him, but dropped him back to the floor, where he looked at him with hatred and dislike, which hurt Harry quite a bit.

After watching Hermione cast a spell on Remus, he moved to where his godson's father had been standing. Sirius complained loudly to his friend about how unfair it was to fight Harry. "Good luck!" he wished Hermione before turning to face her. "I wish you!" she said with a grin and pinched his cheek.

"Well," Dolowney said a little gloatingly, "Let's all see which of the Granger twins is stronger, good luck."

All the students, including the gloating faces of James and Sirius or those of the other time travellers, were now standing at a safe distance from the combatants, watching curiously.

"Let's go!"

Hermione sent out an Expelliarmus without hesitation, but Harry blocked it and retorted with a levicorpus.

Hermione knew a lot of curses that Harry didn't and found difficult to overcome, but he also had a few that made Hermione uneasy.

After three minutes of back and forth, Harry got too colourful. He bombarded Hermione with a succession of different, shock, disarming and flying spells that made his wand vibrate. Hermione seemed overwhelmed for a moment, but quickly regained her composure and created a protego horribilis.

In retrospect, Harry was glad that Dolowney had cancelled the duel after neither had shown weakness or victory and had described Hermione and Harry as equally strong and super fighters, although Harry wanted to say that the others, Ginny, Luna, Neville and Draco, were also good.
