Chapter 23: Room of Requirement, again

"They're gone," Hermione said to her brother and Ginny, "We're going to the Room of Requirement."

With those words, she swung herself onto the broom - a Nimbus 1500, borrowed from Harry - and soared up into the night sky.

Hermione, Ginny and Harry, however, could see the Thestrals and could not see through the huge crowd of black wings to the windows of the school - there stood the marauders, watching spellbound, attracting more and more students who wanted to see what was going on, what they could see from there: three figures on brooms flying around the towers and swooping towards the Astronomy Tower.

"Come on!" shouted Hermione, landing halfway elegantly on the tower. "We have to get to the Room of Requirement!"

Without another word, she grabbed her broom and ran off. Ginny and Harry followed her.

As the Room of Requirement was on the seventh floor and the Astronomy Tower was the top floor, they didn't have far to run to get to the Room of Requirement.

"I wish for the room, OK?" asked Harry, walking up and down without expecting an answer.

Hermione pushed open the door and found herself in a room with red carpets on the walls, armchairs and sofas in the centre in front of a fireplace and a think tank in a cupboard.

"Why a think tank, Harry?" asked Ginny.

"I want to push some bad thoughts to the back of my mind and the easiest way is to put them in a think tank," said Harry, taking Ginny's hand."Let's sit down first," Hermione said. "What do you want to do now?"

Once they were comfortably seated, Harry began to talk.

"I was thinking about the Thestrals. We can fly away with them at midnight tonight and then continue thinking in the tent in safety and then break into Gringotts - or look for the Diamen here in the Room of Requirement first. Voldemort will notice if we destroy a Horcrux and then he'll know we're destroying him. We collect them and destroy them all at once, one each. So which one should we do first?" Harry looked at his sister and his girlfriend questioningly. "I want to get rid of a few stupid memories first, but I'll have to change them to the wrong identity. I know how to do it."

Harry closed his eyes and squeezed his hands into fists. Hermione and Ginny just looked at each other, perplexed, and Hermione went to Harry and hugged him.

They sat like that for a while and nobody moved until Harry looked up again. Hermione looked him in the eye and shrank back.

Harry's eyes were brown. Deer brown. Rich brown.

Hermine Granger brown.

She hadn't even noticed how Harry's hair had changed colour and his face now resembled Hermione's.

Suddenly Hermione's head was foggy and her thoughts were whirling around wildly without her being able to control anything. Ginny also slumped backwards onto a sofa and what they didn't realise was that all of the initiates were foggy-headed and couldn't think consciously.

After a short time, the fog lifted again and Hermione saw her brother: Harry James Granger.

Harry had managed to channel his thoughts into the false identity that he really was a Granger now.

"Hermione, Ginny, are you OK?" asked Harry anxiously. "I just want to get these stupid thoughts out of my head."

And with those words, Harry went to the think tank and pulled out a silvery thread with his wand, which grew longer and longer.

Harry had experienced so many bad things, even if his thoughts had now changed somewhat.

Hermione also wanted to get rid of some thoughts, such as the torture in Malfoy Manor, and let some memories slip away.

"Harry, come on, we've got to get to dinner, it's getting dark quicker than I thought," Hermione said, pulling her brother away from the Think Tank.

Ginny followed the siblings through the door.

"And after dinner, we'll get the diadem," Hermione said, stopping so that the stairs could move.

"OK..."

But as they walked on, they didn't notice the three boys, who secretly disappeared to where they had just come from.
