"What the actual fuck?" Fernando blurted out as soon as they set foot outside of the theater. His new 'acquaintances' all looked over at him, expecting him to continue, and he did, "Did you guys know this was a school for assassins?"
Nobody had batted an eye when Mr. Roberts had announced that Griffith Peak was a school for assassins, nor did they now. Minh replied sternly, an irritated expression flashing across his face, "Of course we did. Whose dumbass would apply to the school without knowing that it was a school for assassins?"
The answer to that question was Fernando. "Me, idiot!" He facepalmed, his hand clenching onto a section of his mid-length curls, "I was sent here by my parents! They didn't tell me that this was a school for...assassins! I don't even know if they knew, but if they did, they must be really homophobic."
"Why? You gay or something?" Miri teased and poked Fernando in the side, which only annoyed him more. He was not in the mood to be annoyed, "Yes, I'm gay! Why? You like me?" He shot back, his fists clenched as they walked beside each other. Miri's expression turned blank as she processed what Fernando said, "Wait... You're really gay?"
Fernando nodded in response, now a bit puzzled by Miri's reaction, "Yeah...? Is that a bad thing? Are you homophobic?" Miri just snorted and shook her head, "I'm far from that. I was just surprised that there are other queer people here."
"Hey, not me though." Minh crossed his arms, walking on the other side of Miri, "I'm as straight as a line. No offense."
"Nor I." Mason added, "I'm straight."
"You are?" Miri looked shocked by that revelation and leaned in closely to Mason, studying him, "You give me bisexual vibes though."
"And you give me 'person about to get beat up' vibes." Mason retorted, giving Miri a flick on her forehead. She backed up in surrender and continued walking beside Fernando, "Fine. But, we'll see, Prince Charming."
"Now what's with the fairytale names, Miri?" A familiar hearty voice spoke from behind the group, and suddenly Fernando felt an arm wrap around his shoulder.
Aidan pushed between Fernando and Miri, separating the two. He had a wide happy smile on his face, showing off his cute dimples. "Hey guys, missed me? I know I'm missable."
Fernando looked over at Aidan and gave him a crooked grin, relieved that he was fine, "I missed you. These losers are annoying." Aidan squeezed Fernando's shoulder tighter, his grin widening in joy, "Great! I'm glad you think so. Let's ditch 'em."
"We still need to get our lockers, and you guys don't even know where to go half the time. It's best to stay with us." Minh responded casually, his eyes narrowing at the pair with irritation."Fine. We won't ditch you guys...for now." Fernando winked playfully while Aidan slipped his arm off his shoulder, now walking in between Miri and Fernando with his hands in his pockets, "For now, eh? Ya planning on it later?"
"Maybe," Fernando smirked, a hint of flirtatiousness in his tone. Mason noticed this, his eyes darting between the pair who had seemingly already grown close in a day. He did not like that fact. Not at all. He did not like that they were acted somewhat flirty.
"You better not leave me, you asshole. We're roommates, we should stick together." Mason hissed with a scowl, his dirty blonde eyebrows furrowing at the sight of Fernando and Aidan. Fernando just shrugged and peeked over at Mason, "There's no rule saying we have to stick together just cause we're roommates."
"Well, I now declare it a rule."
"Idiot, you can't declare rules.
"Don't care. It's a rule and if you break it, I'm kicking you out of the dorm." Mason shot back with stern eyes. His eyes were dark brown like coffee. It complemented his dirty blonde hair... well, his hair sort of changed colors with the seasons. It was a light dirty blonde now. Hair and eye phenomenons were strange.
