Chapter 2

We got home and I let the kids play while I cooked supper. I thought about some things and in the middle of that Austin text me. I washed my hands and dryed them off and picked up my phone and looked at the text.

I read this:
Hey baby, the past few days have been hard... And I don't know if my singing career is worth it anymore. So many fans are leaving, concerts arent as big and exciting for my fans anymore. I can't even sell out a concert anymore. I can barely get 100 tickets sold.. We'll talk about all that tonight I will call you anyway I miss you like crazy right now. I love you so much give my lil Alaina and Keegan a hug and kiss for me and tell them I love them because I know they will be going to bed soon. I'll call you about 9:30 I love you so much.

Just then I got a message on Twitter from a mahomie
I went to Twitter and looked and it was from Carli the girl who made that video for us and we looked at it on our honeymoon.

I read what it said:
Hey Kassidy , I know you are pretty busy with Alaina and Keegan but I hope you take the time for this. I read about Austin thinking about quitting his career... And it makes me so sad and I want some answers could you possibly tell austin about this message... Please kassidy I need answers from him... I would love to talk to him in person but he is on tour right now.. I live in Miami.. And always wanted to meet him and especially now more than ever... You and Austin both have been such an amazing inspiration to me. And to meet you guys would be an absolute blessing to me... I found out last week that I have leukemia and my wish is to meet you guys... But I know it will never ever happen. Im 15 but could you please tell austin about everything in this message or show him and maybe see if he would message me and talk to me. Please. I know im asking a lot here but he means so much to me and you do as well. Just being able to talk to you often means a lot I've never gotten the chance to talk to austin personally and it would be amazing if I could. Anyway I hope you reply. I love you and Austin both. I also love Alaina and Keegan. Hope to talk soon.

That's exactly what I was gonna do talk to her soon! And I will make arrangements for her to meet Austin. Me and Carli have talked a lot and I've been there when she needed someone to talk to and the least I could do is arrange for her to meet her hero. Austin will definitely agree because he loves meeting his mahomies.

I fed the kids and I got them dressed for bed and put them down at 9 after they played a lil bit. Shortly after I got a facetime call from Austin.
"Hey beautiful"
"Hey babe.."
"What's wrong??"
"You know that Carli girl that made that video for us and we watched it on our honeymoon.."
"Yes of course what about her?"
"She has leukemia..."
"Oh my gosh..."
"She told me in this big long message on Twitter in a dm"
"What all did it say"
"I'll send it to you right quick hold on"

I sent the screenshot to him. He went and read it. He came back on facetime.

"I wanna meet her. "
"That's what I wanna do. I want to make arrangements for her to meet you austin. She lives in Miami which is perfect because if your coming back next week we can meet her. She wants answers herself from you. Would you give her those answers she wants??"
"Of course... I know my Mahomies are gonna start wanting answers... But I will give Carli them in person because I know how much it's gonna mean to her."
"Austin once a lot of your mahomies start questioning and wanting answers you are going to have to give them answers.. And the best thing to do is make a video and upload to YouTube and share on facebook, Twitter and let people on Instagram know. You know that so many mahomies are gonna be disappointed... But to make a video and explain all of it and really explain would be a good idea"
" I know and that's what I was thinking I would do.. I might just go ahead and do it while I'm in Miami next week that way you can be in it with me. I don't think I can do it by myself without breaking down in the middle of it."
"Of course I'll be in it with you."
"I miss you so much"
"I miss you too"
I looked at the time and it was already 10:30
"Austin hey I think I'm gonna go to bed im tired I took the kids to the park today and I'm tired"
"Alright baby, I'm gonna have to go soon anyway I have a radio interview in the morning then a meet and greet so I will get a later flight"
"When do you leave to come home"
Tomorrow after the meet and greet so I'll Probably be there Sunday afternoon or night."

Since its summer Alaina isn't in school and today is Friday. Austin is in Los Angeles, California.

"The interview is at 9 and then the meet and greet is at 2:30 so I probably won't get to the airport until like 5 because I'm trafic is ridiculous in Los Angeles. And knowing me I'll Prob stop by some shoe places"
"Alright well I love you"
"I love you too"

With that we ended the call and I plugged my phone up and layed down. Within minutes I fell asleep.
