*3 months later*
I was walking around with the kids in the park when I got this sharp pain in my chest area, it's a pain I never experienced before. I just stopped right there, I couldn't move.
"Mommy are you okay?" Keegan asked
I barely got out the words "call your daddy" as I handed my phone to Keegan.
I sat down on the park bench in pain. Alaina sat beside me "are you gonna be okay mommy?" She asked
"I don't know baby"
As I said that there hurled over in pain I heard Keegan on the phone with Austin.
"Hurry daddy she's in a lot of pain"
Less than 10 minutes.. Austin was there.
"Kass.. baby.. what's wrong?"
"There's pain in my chest like I have never had before"
"Come on let's get you to the ER"
"I feel like I'm gonna be sick"
Austin helped me to the car slowly after grabbing the stroller with rilee in it, Keegan and Alaina followed behind us.
As we drove to the hospital the pain kept on getting sharper and sharper and started spreading. I have never been in this much pain before.
We finally made it to the ER after what seemed like forever. Austin got me and the kids in the ER and got me signed in. I sat down in so much pain and it was getting where I could hardly breathe.
After a long wait and Austin on the phone with his mom to come get the kids we were finally called back minutes after the kids left with Michele.
After several tests the doctors came back in and knew exactly what was wrong. And by the look on their faces it wasn't good.
"Kassidy?"
"Yes"
"After many tests.. we have found that their is a Serious problem occurring in your lungs which has caused your shortness of breath.... you have a blood clot in one of your arteries in your lungs known as a pulmonary embolism. If something isn't done immediately it can be life threatening. Which is why we are going to put you on blood thinners to help prevent more clots forming or this one getting any bigger."
"Have you experienced any coughing up bloody sputum or any other pains?"
"I had some coughing but haven't coughed up anything bloody nor any other pains only shortness of breath and extreme chest pain."
"Alright I am going to get you a prescription for the blood thinners and that need to be got as soon as possible if more pain occurs come back to ER."
"Okay thank you Dr."
