From here to Eternity x Ashtray

"Thank you," Jada expressed with a warm smile as she received her drink from the Starbucks barista.

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee enveloped the air, adding to the ambiance of the café. Ash smoothly pulled out his card,  settling the bill for her drink.

"Sephora first," Jada insisted, her fingers interlaced with Ash's as they strolled down the mall . each window offering a glimpse of the treasures within.

Their steps slowed as they casually glanced into a few stores absorbing the colors and styles that adorned the shelves and mannequins.

"I want to get her the Dior blush and the pink Carolina Herrera" Jada said walking into the Sephora.

"What the fuck is a Carolina Herrera?" Ash asked, a confused expression clouding his face. His gaze wandered across the store, blinded by the dazzling display lightings that filled the beauty store.

Jada couldn't help but chuckle at his confusion. "It's a really good perfume; I'm gonna get her the Good Girl Blush one," the girl remarked, her eyes scanning the shelves for the perfect fragrance.

Ash nodded absentmindedly, trailing behind her as they navigated the aisles of scents.

"Does it smell good" Jada asked spraying the tester on her wrist as ash took her hand to smell it nodding his head.

The curly-headed plucked the perfume from the shelf, her fingers gently cradling the elegant bottle as she continued to wander in search of the matching blush.

Her eyes lit up as she discovered it, placed alongside a Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb. A feeling of satisfaction filled her of finding the perfect combination for the thoughtful gift she was putting together for her mum.

"A lip gloss for 30 dollars" ash raised his eyebrows in shock "that shit won't even last a month" the boy said examining the size of the gloss.

"Good thing you're paying for it," Jada remarked, a playful glint in her eye, as Ash shook his head with a smug smile adorning his face.

"Your total will be $150," the cashier stated. Jada reached for her phone to pay with Apple Pay, but before she could unlock it, Ash swiftly swiped his card, taking care of the transaction.

The cashier's acknowledgment merged with a subtle exchange of glances between Jada and Ash.

Making her eyes widen. " I was joking" Jada said taking the bag with her mother's birthday gifts.

"I didn't take it as one" ash shrugged, "you're gonna end up broke because of me" Jada sighed as the boy sniggered amused by his girlfriend.

"Target?" he asked finishing the rest of Jadas drink she had gave him earlier on, as she nodded in response walking to the car parking lot.

"Wait can we go in here" Jada stopped. Without waiting for Ash's response, firmly gripped his arm and pulled him inside, leaving his potential answer suspended in the air.

"Fuck no Jada" the boy protested trying to get out of her grip that was strong for some reason "damn" he mumbled.

There stood Ashtray in the midst of Victoria's Secret. "Don't these look pretty?" Jada exclaimed, lifting up a baby pink bra with delicate lace and gems, adorned by lingerie.

"Yeah" ash mumbled scratching the back of his head seaming out of place and a bit awkward causing a laugh to slip out of Jadas lips.

"Let's go to the thongs," Jada suggested, a mischievous grin playing on her lips. "baby, no, please," the boy pleaded, attempting to pull Jada back in embarrassment.

"I'm only doing this cause we have to go to target" Jada sighed walking out the store as ash trailed behind, seeing a light shade of pink displayed on the boys cheeks.

He parked the car into the designated spot within the expansive parking lot. As the engine hummed to a halt, Jada and Ash unbuckled their seat belts in synchronized movements.

The crisp bite of the cold wind greeted them the moment they stepped out, nipping at their exposed skin and causing a shiver to run down their spines.

The two walked into the store relaxing as soon as the warm air hit their bodies.

They walked towards the candy isle passing through a few hoverboards. "Can we get one?" Ashtray eagerly asked as his eyes lit up.

"Boy no" Jada playfully rolled her eyes at the boy who frowned as they walked to the chocolates.
She picked up two packets of Hershey kisses placing them in her basket.

As ash grabbed some skittles putting them in.
They then walked towards the candles as Jada scanned through the scents.

Ash stood there glancing around waiting impatiently. He stood behind the girl playfully poking her sides.

"Ashtray," the girl giggled, her boyfriend chuckling at her playful discomfort. The shared laughter echoed through the store.

" you can go and grab a white basket to place the gifts in since you're so useless" She suggested as ash wandered off to look for them.

Jada continued looking picking one candle up and searching for another.

"How you doin', mama?" a voice heard, she turned around to face two boys who appeared to be around her age, one faded and the other a dread-head.

"Good?," the girl responded, her tone carrying a hint of confusion laced with attitude.

"Can't I just ask you something?" the boy inquired, catching Jada off guard, who remained unaware of Ash's presence as he quietly came up behind her.

"You know what never mind," the boy randomly said, raising his hand in the air as he backed up, his face displaying a mix of shock and terror.

Making Jada raise her eyebrow in confusion as she turned around being met by ashtray who slightly patted down his shirt down concealing the gun that firmly sat tucked in his waistband.

Making the girl realize that ashtray had just flashed his gun at the two boys. "Ashtray what the fuck" Jada gasped in disbelief. "Why do you even have that".

"It's for our safety," the boy shrugged, as Jada rolled her eyes, unimpressed by his actions.

"Don't ever do that again," she sternly commanded, her gaze fixed on the boy, who nodded in response before casually wandering around again as if nothing had happened.
