MEWO was purring next to SUNNY, both laying on the couch as he pet her softly, scratching to the side of her neck, just how she liked. He smiled and held her close, hugging her like she were a teddy bear as she gladly let him.

MEWO: "Mew~"

He closed his eyes and rested his head closer to her with a soft grin.

SUNNY: "I missed you too, girl..."

MARI looked at them both with a snicker, leaning against the doorway to the kitchen with her phone against her ear.

MARI: "Yeah, he's fine. Just resting on the couch next to MEWO. They haven't left each other's side since he got home. It's... so refreshing to see them both so lively again." She said before clearing her throat, coughing a bit, facing away from the call.

HERO: "That's great! MEWO hasn't really been up and about for a while, has she?"

HERO was stirring a bowl of cream, phone pressed against his shoulder as he talked.

MARI: "Not really, no. Had a few scares with her, looked like she wasn't breathing a few times... she was so sick before." She looked over to them more, seeing MEWO rub her head against SUNNY'S followed by loud purring. She exhaled gently. "But now, she looks... so alive! She's still so young, I was worried she lost that spunk she had before."

HERO smiled as he began spreading the cream over a birthday cake. "Well hey, she had a great owner looking out for her. She was bound to bounce back in no time, especially since her favorite persons back."

SUNNY'S breathing was slow and steady, face pressed against MEWO'S fluff. MARI wasn't sure if he was awake or sleeping, but she was just so relieved seeing him so calm.

MARI: "Yeah... I know its been ages, but I'm still so happy she remembers him. Hopefully it'll help his recovery having her around.

HERO: "Trust me, it will. Both of you will make it so much easier for him to settle back in. One step at a time, okay?"

MARI'S nodded lightly. "Mhmm..." She switched her phone to her other ear and cleared her throat. "A-Anyways, uh, You're sure rhe Twins aren't mad at you?e Especially The BAKERS?"

HERO looked back and scoffed, seeing DAPHNE and BOWEN watching the Twins stare at Bread rising in the Stone Oven. "Believe me, I think I made it up to them. Explained what happened, and to make up for it, I've gotta solo make 3 Birthday Cakes and a batch of 5 dozen cupcakes. While the Twins, uhhh.... w-watch Bread rise."

MARI raised her brow. "Wait, really? I-Is that okay?"

HERO: "Well, I sort of see the appeal, but I think it's just a Them Thing-"

MARI: "N-No, HERO, I mean all of that work? Doesn't that seem too harsh?"

HERO: "Are you kidding? This is more a luxury than punishment for me! Doing what you love to do never really feels like work, especially if you love what you do~"

MARI rolled her eyes and said with a slight chuckle. "You doof~ I forget sometimes just how MUCH you love cooking and baking."

HERO chuckled and poked his head out the door, seeing the CANDY SHOP and wincing a bit.

HERO: "Yeah, well... I got off easy. MS. CANDICE is working AUBREY to the bone. And, y'know... COURTNEY too for good measure."

In the distance, he saw CANDICE pointing her finger and shouting something, AUBREY climbing up a latter as COURTNEY stabilized it. Something to do with their sign, but he couldn't fully see what.
