"No, no, no, no, no!"

MOM: "MARI, Just listen to him! He-"

MARI quickly turned to her MOM. "No MOM! We are NOT letting him stay back here with us!"

MOM held her hands up and tried to calm her down. "Sweety, please, thats not-"

MARI: "You!" She pointed to THOMAS and walked up to him, stomping as she looked furious. "You have some nerve! Staying gone for 4 years and waltzing back into our life ONLY when your son finally wakes up! What the hell makes you think we'd let you stay back with us after-"

THOMAS held his hands up as MARI was poking his chest hard, seeing MOM come on and grab her arms, pulling her back as she tried to calm her down.

MOM: "MARI! Calm down, please!" She tried to pull her back, MARI jerking her arm away and trying to get towards him again.

As MARI yelled at him, SUNNY tried to stand up to try and help calm her down. But the second he got up, his knees gave way, a thud heard as everyone looked towards him. Her anger quickly fade, turning to concern as she quickly rushed to him.

MARI: "A-Are you okay?!"

She got on a knee and tried to comfort him, but the second she did she winced in pain. Her knee was acting up again, she hunched over and grabbed it as MOM quickly went to them both.

MOM: "Oh sweety! Is it your knee again?" She put her hands on both of her kids backs.

THOMAS held out a hand to her to try and held her up. "Hang on, don't strain your-"

She immediately smacked his hand away and looked up with anger. "I-I'm fine! I don't need your help..."

She held onto her good knee and forced herself up, sitting on the couch as she held a hand out to SUNNY. He pulled himself up, but was still rather weak, so MARI had to do most of the work with MOM helping him as well. THOMAS wanted to help, but stepped back once he saw MARI look back to him with a glare.

MARI: "S-See? We don't need you here. If we've been fine without you until now, then we'll be fine without you, period!" She crossed her arms and turned away from him. "So, thanks for stopping by! And feel free to leave as abruptly as you showed up. And take that stench of cigarettes with you."

MOM sighed as she looked sternly at her daughter, kneeling down in front of her. MARI quickly turned away from her and looked just as upset as she was.

MOM: "MARI, please, just listen! Me and your Father-"

MARI: "He is NOT my Father! He lost that privilege a long time ago."

MOM sighed and put her hand on her shoulder. "Sweety, please ...Your Father and I have been talking, and he made up his mind on moving back here to town... but he isn't staying with us."

MARI turned to her, confused and looked to THOMAS. He scratched his neck and looked at the floor, unsure how to follow it up before clearing his throat.

THOMAS: "Uhh... yeah, I'm gonna be staying by an old friend for a bit. Least 'til I find a job here. I... wanted to come back for SUNNY, since I knew it'd be hard readjusting to everything again. A-And for you guys too."

MARI'S expression soured once again, turning away with an exasperated sigh. "Only took you 4 years to want to do that again."

MOM: "MARI-"

THOMAS held up his hand a bit. "Nono, MARGIE, I...I deserve that." He rubbed the back of his neck and sighed. "Look SON, uhh... I promise, we'll tell you the whole story of... well, all this, when your more settled in. For now though, I just... want you to know that I love you, okay?"
