Bachelorette party

" Shhh... everyone quiet,"whispered Deringue as they hid behind sofas in a dim rented hotel room.
The door opened and someone flipped the light switch.
"Surprise!"said the ladies in unison as they emerged from various hiding places. There was a yelp from Karie and laughter as she calmed down.
Then a wide grin broke in her face as she hugged each of them.
"Welcome to your 'goodbye single lady' party,"said Brytal leading Karie to a sofa and offering her a soda.
"No wine for you I am afraid for little one,"said Brytal as she sipped her champagne.
The ladies; Chrystal, Deringue, Claire and Kellon surrounded Karie to wish her well.
Deringue sent waiter(who had brought the champagne)to bring in snacks.
The suite they had booked belonged to Lambo hotel and lodging.
Karie was all smiles as she answered their questions.
"Enough ladies. Give her some space,"cautioned Brytal." Let's see those presents."
Everyone went about searching presents placed haphazardly about the room.
The door opened and everyone was distracted.
"Hi everyone. Cake."
A young woman with a simple strapless white dress, with a circle skirt entered holding a covered tray. She had smiling brown eyes and her brown face had some slight resemblance to Karie though she was taller.
"Everyone, this is my sister Trace. I invited her to join us,"announced Karie .
"Nice to meet you "
"I love that dress"
"yo are eye-candy with that dress."
"was Karie a naughty child"
"are you a student?"
"Are you married? And kids?"
Trace nervously answered them. She was a masters student and she was married though he was abroad. No kids. The dress was a fashion design.
"Ahem. Presents!"
Presents were finally placed in a huge mahogany dining table.
Karie opened them. Pink handcuffs,lacy underwear,a cute pajama set,a packet of stockings,a see through nightie,hot water bottle,a book about love and marriage.
"Wow! these are lovely."
"Mine is the last,"said Brytal.
Karie opened a big box.
"Wow! Baby clothes and stuff! Thanks Brytal."
"I shopped for any gender."
"Seems like being with Jeremy has taught you a thing or two,"commented Deringue.
"That's right. That boy has found a place in my heart."
"Aww. "Karie gave her a hug.
"Ladies, let's toast to Karie. Our resident secretary."
"Cheers!"
"Cheers!"
Glasses clinked.
Snacks came in and soda.
A musician entered discreetly and played soft music on piano conveniently placed at the back of the room.
They ate the snacks as they told relationship stories.
Chrystal sat between Karie and Brytal.
Deringue sat between Claire and Kellon and made sure everyone drink was full. Trace sat between the two groups constantly turning to the more interesting one.
A waiter walked in with crabs and mushrooms soup and french bread.
"Crabs? How do you eat those?"asked Karie picking one and smelling it.
"Sea..."she said.
Deringue who had a trip to coast just last December took one and demonstrated how they were eaten.
Each lady was given one. Amid giggles they tried to pry meat from hard exoskeleton.
The mushrooms soup too was eaten with much curiosity.
"Time for cake!"
Trace took off the lid.
It was a white cake with small figurines of a dancing couple. The girl ,in a mermaid dress ,danced in the arms of a masculine, shirtless man.
"Wow! cute"commented Karie.
"You must blow the candle. Make a last wish as a single lady."
"Stop saying last wish Deringue. You make it sound as if she is coming to a certain end,"said Brytal.
Karie blew out her candle.
Deringue cut cake into sizeable pieces.
Everyone was given a slice and more wine was served.
By then it was midnight and Karie was exhausted.
"Time to go. I am tired,"said Karie taking her purse.
"Wait one last surprise,"said Brytal naughtily.
The bedroom door opened to reveal a masculine dark male dancer with a tight body suit and an feather stuck in a band around his head.
He danced as he approached them and ladies clapped.
"One dance with the bride?"
Pianalist started another song and a guitarist joined him.
"Ooh no!"exclaimed Karie examining her feet.
"Ooh you can do it girl. Show us some moves," Brytal urged her and gently shoved her to the male dancer.
The dancer took her hand and ladies clapped to encourage them.
Karie made half hearted attempts to dance and laughed happily.
After some time she complained and quit and went to sit on the sofa.Others though a little drunk joined the male dancer who graciously danced with each. The dance ended.
"I will take Brytal, Trace and Chrystal. Kellon will drive Deringue and Claire," said Karie.
They went out of the room in a blur of excitement and soon hit the highway.
The moon and stars lit the dark clear sky. Somewhere an owl hooted and a sheep bleated in the barn.
