Roshni's POV:
"So care to explain?" Mansi asked me as she laid on her bed and turned to look at me.
"Explain what?" I asked not removing my gaze from the book which I was reading.
"You know" She replied.
"I know what?" I looked at her raising my eyebrows.
"You like malfoy duh." She replied rolling her eyes.
"Excuse me?" I asked her taking my spectacles off.
"Oh come on" She continued teasing me.
"Mansi stop, you know I hate this." I groaned as I looked at her.
"Is there anything which you have ever liked roshni?" Her voice had a tint of anger in it.
"Uhh-" before I could reply she had already slept pulling the covers.
"nevermind." I whispered to myself.
"I think I will need a walk, would you like to join me?" I asked as I got up from the bed hoping that she would reply.
Mansi always liked taking walks, past curfew time. During our fourth and fifth years, we spent our nights at the astronomy tower stargazing and pointing out constellations.
I waited but no reply came. I made her too angry I guess. Why can't I just express my feelings?
I exited our dorm and sneaked out of the common room.
I felt weird as I stood there thinking that I had just been present here, threatened by some pick me girl. I put my hands on the cold railing as I stared at the stars.
After my mother's death, my father would always tell me that she is always watching me from the sky. She had become a star. I stared at the sky looking at the beauty of constellations as I took a heavy sigh.
As I was looking, my eyes caught the glimpse of someone. I peeked to see who had been accompanying me all this time.
I looked over to see none other than Draco himself.
"What are you doing here?" The words blurted out before I could think and in an instant, his cold and grey eyes caught my brown orbs.
He looked at me sending a chill down my spine before replying,
"That's the same thing I should ask you rana."
His voice seemed somewhat bitter.
The atmosphere around us seemed tensed.
Unable to resist the silence, I opened my mouth and said,
"Do you also like... constellations?"
He sighed,
"Why do you want to know? Do your own work." He replied rudely.
"That's rude." I muttered.
"Why are you so desperate to talk to me?" He asked me.
"Why are you always following me?" I replied and in an instant he turned silent.
After two or three minutes, he replied,
"I am not following you and for your own sake I would advise you to stay away from me. Don't expect me to be kind and friendly with you just because we are stuck together on this stupid vice head boy and head girl thing."
He replied coldly, without looking at me. A tint of sadness yet pain could be heard in his voice.
Without replying with any stupid question or any weird remark, I exited the astronomy tower leaving the blond in his own company...
