Uma swam under the sea, thinking about how she and her aunt were alike. Uma's mom always called her useless and ungrateful, who knows what she did to Ulyana? That's one thing they both had in common: they strived to prove Ursula wrong.
She smiled as she swam. She loved spending time in the Ocean. She could explore the undersea world! In her time, she ventured to the deepest depths, she saw ancient creatures of incredible size, swum with fish that was so big, she'd spent days lounging on their backs, and so much more.
And it was all the same here.
But this time, it was different. She was on a mission. She finally had everything she wanted. The Isle was free. She was free. She couldn't let that go away, but she had to know one thing first.
She approached what seemed to be the kingdom of Atlantica. She has never been, but her mother used to tell her stories and the real thing was actually living up to it.
She definitely has to visit when she's back in her own time.
She lurked in the window of a room decorated with lush purple and black decorations. As she looked around, an eerie voice caught her attention. She turned her head to a girl with her back turned.
"Come in. Come in. We shouldn't lurk in doorways, it's rude."
"Ursula..."
The younger version of Uma's mom and Ulyana's sister turns around with a wicked smirk. She has long white hair with turquoise tips put into braids. She wears a black bodice with a collar, long black sleeves, and her body, from the waist down, is black with six tentacles dotted by blue suckers. For jewelry, she wears purple coral shell earrings and a gold nautilus shell necklace.

Ursula. A mischievous and dark Sea Witch delighted by her evil ideas, wicked sense of humor, and use of dark magic.

"Something's...different about you" She tilts her head. "And the fact that you're wearing my necklace and you showed up on my beautiful crystal ball isn't helping you. So start explaining, angelfish."
Uma rolls her eyes. She's still just as sassy as evil. "I'm from the future. I'm your daughter. I have a question I need you to answer."
"Hmm," as stubborn as Ursula was, she did believe her. Not just anyone shows up on her crystal ball. Her smirk turns into a wide smile. "Okay, ask away!"
"Ulyana...your sister, my aunt. What's up deal? What'd you do to her?"
She threw her head back and laughed. "Of course, it's her! Well, she's obviously angry because she cannot compete with me, of course. She doesn't have my approval when it comes down to her evil deeds. You see, I graduated and earned a reputation for myself at Merlin Academy, my story is starting to begin. I've already begun thinking of ways to knock my brother off his pedestal, blah blah blah." She slithers from her seat and lays dramatically into her bed "You see, my little sister struggles with not being feared. She hates being the youngest of three, especially after what happened."
Umaa furrows her eyebrows. "What happened?"
"On my dad's birthday, before he died, he gave me and my siblings equal share of the sea plus magical items. Triton received the trident, she got the Eye of the Tentacle and I received the magic Nautilus shell. Though we were meant to rule the seas together, Ulyana was banished after she killed Dad."
"She...she killed my grandfather?"
"It was a while back. I made quite the habit of antagonizing humans. I always knew she tried to be better than me, so I took advantage of that. I convinced her to try and sink a ship, and of course, she agreed to. Poor fishy got caught in a net. That's when Daddy tried to save his little angel, but she was stubborn and stupid. One of the humans threw a harpoon, but Daddy pushed her out of the way and took a harpoon to heart. He's dead. That could've been my moment to take the crown, but Triton was the oldest. He was made King and banished Ulyana. He always had a flair for the dramatic."
Uma stood there in shock. How could she say that so calmly."That's why she hates you. That's why she wants to prove she's better than you. You got her banished and your dad killed." And you don't care."
"And why should I? They never liked me so why should I like them? Anyway, I answered your question, bye-bye now" Ursula waved her fingers. Of course, she didn't care, she didn't know how to care about anyone other than herself. She was born evil.
Uma swam to the window but stopped for a minute. "You know what your problem is? You don't know how to care, and that's what's gonna be your downfall. I have a younger brother, too. We may not get along all the time, but I would never do that to him. Oh, and spoiler alert for your story, it doesn't end well." And with that, she swims away.
Of course, I was gonna add a young Ursula, I was hoping Descendants 4 had that in stores too, but they didn't, which is okay cause it's still gonna be a great movie! I keep wondering what Uma's gonna be doing in D4, my theory is that she'll gonna be leading the rebellion against the Queen of Hearts, seeing as this could jeopardize the Barrier being brought down, the one thing Uma worked so hard for. Queenie isn't about to undo my girl's hard work. I was so hoping Sofia Wylie would make her way into the Pocketwatch, but there's still hope for D5. What do you think of the backstory I gave Ulyana, a little grim, yeah, but this is what's been going through my head for a while. I doubt she'll have this in the movie, but we'll just have to wait and see. Stay safe and have a great day or night, wherever you are.
