As the party raged on and fireworks lit up the night sky, Red, Chloe, Malachi, and Scarlett found their own private spot, hanging under the tree near the Rabbit Hole. "What a day!" Malachi chuckles.
"You're telling me" Scarlett scoffs.
"It's crazy to think if your parents hadn't planned a coup, we all might never have met" Chloe shakes her head in disbelief. "But now that we have, I guess we're officially friends."
"Yeah, I guess we are" Red shrugs. This was new to her, but she liked it.
"So...is it over?" Scarlett asks. "This story?"
"I don't think so," Red says as she holds the pocket watch in her hand. "I think our story's just beginning. We're just...waiting for the next chapter." Red tosses the pocketwatch back down the rabbit hole.
"Who do you think's gonna be in it this time?" Malachi asks.
"I guess we'll just have to wait and find out."
Yes, they would.
This wasn't the end of the Battle of the Queens.
It would be quite fair, would it?
