The night was here. The night for the party at Fire Rock. The days leading up to the celebration a low hum of rumors of who was behind the invitation filled the rock halls. Peacemaker looked over to Cliff who was readjusting a golden pendant that hung on his neck. A blood red ruby laid in the middle. Cliff looked over at Peacemaker and tossed him a silver snake tail band.
"I saw you staring at my magnificent fashion collection, so here you go", Cliff commented.
Peacemaker rolled his eyes and slipped the snake band on his tail. Bumblebee trotted into the room with a twisted black wire tiara with red spinel gemstones studded on the sharp points. Bumblebee held another piece of spinel jewelry in her hand. This time it was a small rose earring. Water Oak shifted in her cot. Her dark pink tipped sail swinging over her forehead.
"Why in the world do you have one of Wasp's party crowns", Water Oak snarled.
"Whenever Wasp got thrown into a dungeon below ground her treasuries were depleted and given to dragons that helped free the continent. So my big sister, Cricket received these fine pieces of jewelry", Bumblebee replied while turning the earring.
Peacemaker paying close attention to the conversation unfolding, sifted through his trunk and pulled out a flower petal. The Nightwings called it a galaxy flower, because of the shimmering oil that you could apply to your scales. I used to use that when I would go out to parties and other political events. Political? Peacemaker asked. Oh, I used to be more involved in the political scheme than you previously thought. Ok, mysterious. Peacemaker started to apply the oil to his scales and the underside of his wings. Tumbleweed glanced over at him. She had a washed out teal scarf hanging from her horns. It went well with her gold dipped tail barb. She got out of her sand pit and shook off some sand. She walked out into the hallway. She turned around and blew her sail out of her face.
"Are you guys coming or not? The moons won't wait for you all to make an appearance", Tumbleweed said.
Water Oak swiped her tail and hopped down from the overhanging hammock. Cliff dropped his jewelry and rushed out of the cave. Peacemaker sat up and jogged towards the entrance.
