A couple of maids were just clearing the debris of the meal eaten when four men walked in. Phayu recognised one as Tharn, but had no idea who the others were. Nonetheless, he stood up, as did his brothers, as a mark of respect. "Please stay seated. Our husbands and sons will join us shortly. We would like to do the introductions once, so that there is not too much time wasted," one of the men said, and the four younger men nodded. "You four did a good job, as usual. Now we know why you guys were so sorely missed," Chai said, with a small smile. "We don't intend to return P'Chai, if that's the implication. We have mates now, not just young, but special. We intend to be there for them," Dean said, in his no-nonsense tone. The other three did not say a word, but the implications were clear. Dean was speaking for all four of them.
All of a sudden, something in the room shifted. Something in the very air stilled, as if a presence enveloped it. While it was not a dark or oppressive presence, the aura was subtly dangerous. The four younger men shifted, and to their surprise, so did Pakin and Chai. They had never thought that anything could affect the older men. The four couples who walked in, were decidedly men of power, individually, and together. They looked older than the other vampires present there. Even though they looked the same age as the others, something about them screamed maturity and experience. However, what shocked Phayu, Pai, Dean and Win was how they stopped short when they saw the four younger men. They were also stunned by the similarities between them and these men. Although they stood up to be polite, they knew they were staring and that it could be considered rude. But they just could not help it. They were powerful beyond measure and it was very obvious.
Just as the younger men decided to ask some questions, they heard some sounds coming from the front doors. They all braced for any kind of an attack, but then immediately everyone relaxed. Phayu, Fort, Dean and Win could feel the presence of their mates, and the stress that they had been holding in dissipated a little bit. The mate bond had not shown them any danger, but it had not been fully established either, and therefore the four were still wary of their place. They knew that they would not be kept away from their mates, but the underlying tension made it hard for them to just be able to relax. Sensing their mates, and their scents, gave them at least a little bit of relief. The commotion quieted as the four fledgelings ran in, going straight towards their partners. Rain was the first to reach Phayu. "Were you worried Phi Mate?" he asked, turning his huge eyes and staring to Phayu's eyes. He was about to shake his head when he felt one of his mate's hands slip around his waist, and the other tugged his shirt down, as he stood on his toes. "You can't lie to me Phi mate," he whispered, his eyes twinkling like stars.
Phayu smiled. He could feel himself melting at this little boy. "I was a bit worried little one," he said, unable to believe he was finally standing with his Draugs. "Don't worry, okay? I will never leave you," the little one was vehement in his vow. Phayu just nodded, and smiled again, as if his entire world was in his arms. Which it probably was. He was nearly lost in the beauty of his mate when someone cleared their throat. "Will you not say hello to us Rainy boy?" one of the dangerous looking men asked, sounding extremely indulgent. Phayu stiffened. Maybe Rain realised it, so he didn't let go of him, choosing to just turn his upper body. "Hello Uncle Vegas! Phi Mate rescued me!" he said guilelessly. The man named Vegas looked at Phayu, and something unnamed passed between them. "We should all talk," Pakin stated, and everyone looked at him. "Let's find a more private setting," he said. Chai and he ushered them into an underground conference room, that had been completely soundproofed. Chai and some other guards cleared the room for any listening devices. Everyone settled in, and all mates were seated together, including those who have just found each other.
"Let's begin at the beginning, with introductions. These are Tharn and Type Kirigun, parents of Rain, Leo and Fiat Suansri, parents of Sky, Tae and Min, parents of Team, Sean and White, parents of Pharm," Chai said, gesturing towards the couples sitting on the right side of the conference table. "And these..," Pakin trails off, as Chai laid a hand on his. He took a deep breath. "These are Vegas Kornwit and Pete Phongsakorn Theerpanayakul, Kinn Anakin and Porche Pachara Theerpanayakul, Tan Wiraphong and Bun Bunnakit Inkhamwiang and Tinn Rachata and Charn Thanapat Koetkasin," he said, gesturing towards the couples sitting on the left of the table. The four boys were shocked to hear the surnames of the men.Pakin again drew a deep breath, as if gearing up to deliver bad news. These are Phayu, Prapai, Dean and Win, the sons of your mates," he said, looking at the couples sitting on the right, "and your sons," looking at the couples on the left. Absolute and ominous silence filled the room.
