§ Steven Meeks § : Valentine's part 1

Meeks, the brilliant but socially awkward member of the group, had been secretly studying with a girl from Henley Hall, the sister school of Welton. Her name was y/n, and she possessed an intelligence that rivaled Meeks'. As the day unfolded, Meeks couldn't escape the anticipation of Valentine's Day, and the weight of his feelings for y/n pressed upon him.

Sitting by the serene river on Welton's campus, Meeks nervously observed y/n from a distance. Gerard, ever the playful jester of the group, noticed Meeks' unease and couldn't resist poking fun at his friend.

Gerard quipped, "Meeks, my dear friend, you look as though you're about to face a firing squad. What's the matter? Valentine's Day got your tongue?"

Meeks, adjusting his glasses, stammered, "I-I... well, you know, it's just that I was thinking of approaching y/n. You know, to wish her a happy Valentine's Day."

Gerard grinned mischievously. "Approaching y/n, you say? Meeks, I didn't think I'd live to see the day when our resident genius would be struck dumb by a girl. What's the worst that could happen? She says no, and you go back to your equations and chess games."

Meeks rolled his eyes, but deep down, he knew Gerard had a point. Summoning courage, he stood up and straightened his tie. "You're right. I should just go for it."

With Gerard trailing behind like a supportive (albeit teasing) shadow, Meeks approached y/n by the river. She looked up from her book, a quizzical smile playing on her lips.

"Y/n," Meeks began, his voice a bit shaky, "I was wondering if, um, you'd like to be my Valentine for the day. Just for today."

Y/n, amused by Meeks' nervous demeanor, chuckled softly. "Well, I suppose I could use some company on this overly romantic day. Sure, Meeks, I'd be delighted."

Meeks beamed, relieved and thrilled all at once. As they walked away together, Gerard couldn't help but call out, "Don't do anything I wouldn't do, Meeks!"
