Touma encounters

Ruby(Rwby) Part 2

"So you and all the students live here." Ruby states as she looks to see the various dormitories. Apparently the majority of the population of academy city are students leading to a whole district dedicated to them.

"Yeah its a nice place though my neighbour Tsuchimikado causes a lot of trouble." Touma responds to Ruby remembering the time Tsuchimikado kidnapped him and the amount of times he got him in trouble with Komoe sensei. He was also living with a gluttonous nun back at home... . Ruby didn't need to know about Index.

"Haha yeah they sound like fun, they remind of my own teammates Weiss, Yang and Blake." Ruby reminisce cheerfully." "Weiss and I used to fight a lot but we became besties. Yang used to to baby me now I'm all grown up now. Blake is a quiet person but she's starting to open up to us." Ruby said.

"They sound like fun people, I'm a bit curious though Ruby why do you want to become a hunter." Touma questioned from what he knew hunters had quite a dangerous job of protecting others from monsters known as grim.

"Well I've always admired the heroes from fairy tales and romanticised the idea of it I mean aren't heroes the coolest." Ruby replies to Touma with a star struck look. Touma contemplated something from what Ruby said, what exactly does she mean by that. Heroes in fairy tales are viewed as selfless individual, a symbol of justice.

"I see so you save people from viscous monsters right?." Touma questioned it didn't sound very safe.. exactly but she seemed pretty good at fighting at least from what Touma gathered.

"Yep we use our aura and cool weapons like my lovely crescent rose to protect others from danger." Ruby said smiling from while staring at her weapon with a proud expression.

"So what exactly does your school teach you?." Touma couldn't help but wonder how different their training was compared to a regular soldier or judgement for that matter.

"Well the school assigns teams to us, who will be working with us to bring down grim. Training and studying which stinks". Her once bright smile quivered a bit, her eyes shifted to the left. Sheepishly Ruby smile grew in an attempt to correct her previous behaviour.

Noticing this Touma decides to stop inquiring this matter. "Sorry Ruby I didn't mean to bring up bad memories for you." Touma decided to not inquire more about her past for now.

"Ah no it's fine no harm was done. You didn't mean it after all. I mean I was the one who crashed into you." Ruby chuckles. She didn't really think of Touma as a bad guy after all he is going through the trouble of showing her around this place.

"Hey Ruby mind stopping with me at the convenience store?, my roommate must be hungry my roommate. If I don't get food for her she will bite this Kamijou's head clean off." Touma casually says with an expression of relief and despair. He at least remembers now to get the groceries. He got to caught up with Ruby...now he might not have enough time to go to the convenience store and back.

"Wow your roommate sure sounds mean." Ruby responds as she didn't really understand why biting is involved, maybe they had a weird bond or something like that.

"She can be unreasonable sometimes, but I wouldn't have it any other way after all I really do care for her." Touma smiles while saying this.

"Yeah I agree I just wish Yang would stop treating me like a child. She keeps on forcing me to make friends... and I'm not that childish or naive."Ruby comments about her past. Her face pouts like a child.

"I guess I can see why she might think that." Touma thought, they seem to have known each other for a long time. From what he gathers Yang seems older then Ruby which means she was some sort of oneesan person who take cares of her.... he decides not to go further with those thoughts.
