In the school lunch restaurant, Touma and Blake are having lunch together. Touma is having a plate of rice and Blake has a piece of tuna.
They eat silently without saying, to say it was awkward for the both of them is an understatement. Touma wondered what to say to the girl. Blake reminded Touma of a dandere a quiet and shy person who doesn't like to talk to people.
Blake on the other hand was reminiscing about her past. She really did love Adam but he changed along with the white fang. They started killing and bombing people and she went along with it. She felt guilty and sad for not noticing sooner. She blindedly assisted them in those acts, maybe she could start fresh after leaving the white fang. Could she really turn away from the life she had lived before and start anew?.
Unknowingly to Blake however Touma observed her expression which morphed into a frown. Her eyes fell and her fingers dangles aimlessly. There was clearly something wrong with her and Touma.. is not about to let that continue.
"Is there something wrong Blake." Touma says out of a blue startling Blake. "No its nothing," Blake reassured Touma although they both know for a fact that's a lie.
"You know you can tell me anything Blake I won't judge you for your actions as long as your willing to make a change then your a good person in my book." Touma's words shook Blake a bit but she was still reluctant." Everybody makes mistakes, everybody has their pains and struggles, so please Blake if it isn't to much trouble let me help you out I won't know how to help you if you don't tell me."
Blake sat there in silence, she just met this guy today and now he wants to help her. He was very sincere in his speech and his eyes only showed truthfulness without any ill intentions.
There's no need for her to trouble him. Everything that happened was her fault and hers alone. No one needs to help her.All of a sudden Blake got up and ran. Touma in surprise called out to Blake. He then got up to also chase her only to slip and fall onto the waitress. With a heavy blush the waitress shouted and slapped him. In the end Touma had to pay the bill and a little extra money to the waitress so that she wouldn't report him for harassment.
Running without stopping Blake searched for a place to stay. Problems plagued her life. Like others she had her own coping mechanism which was to run away from her problems. She can't bear to face them head on. She didn't recognise any of these places it was all so different, but she didn't care.
After some time Blake stopped at a park, she looked around to see if anyone is there. Blake then sits on a bench she... contemplated on her decisions for a long time.
"Mom where are you?," a voice of a little girl echoed throughout the park. Blake turned to see a little girl who is all alone. the girls eyes watered her eyes wavered looking right and left.
"Are you lost?" Blake asks the little girl who jumps at that." Yes I can't find my mommy," the girl replied while hugging what seemed to be a regular doll. Coming closer to the girl she kneeled down to pat her head." Don't worry we will find her together," Blake says with a bright smile which cheers the little girl up a little.
Squeeze... the doll compressed. Blake sensing something was off quickly viewed the doll. Immediately upon seeing the doll Blake throws it out of the girls hands. Her years of working for the white fang have sharpened her instincts.
Her semblance activates sending a clone in front of both her and the girl. Boom!!... the doll exploded. Raging fire seemingly consuming the area. Her clone seemingly caught by the explosion.
Blake shields the girl as a last attempt on saving her life. Just before the explosion made contact with them a certain regular high school boy appears.
With his right hand the boy intercepts the incoming explosions. Splitting the explosion into an arc.
Not feeling the impact from the explosion Blake looks up to see Touma defending her. Blake stumbles a bit she's stunned to see Touma appear out of nowhere.
After the explosion dissipates Touma turns to see the two girls. "Are you alright?," Touma asks concerned. "yes mister I'm alright," said the little girl "I'm fine as well" replied Blake still looking like her mind is elsewhere.
"Hinata where are you?!,"a middle aged woman called out only to see the mess the explosion caused. Reacting quickly the mom ran to the delinquent looking boy to deliver her sweet justice thinking that he's the one who caused this. "Get away from my daughter the adult!!,"the mother growled at the unassuming boy.
"Huh wait it wasn't my fau- fukou da!!"the boy shouted as the mother of the child chassed the boy around. Nothing is more terrifying then an angry mother.
Finally managing to calm down because of her child's own scoldings the mother apologized and thanks Touma along with Blake. With a smile on his face Touma watches as the little girl and her mother leaves.
Blake snapping out of her thoughts tried to leave, but a right hand grabs onto her. With a serious stare Touma looks at Blake who tries to swat his hand away but to no avail. For some reason she feels her aura drain away therefore draining both her strength and stamina.
"Is this what you do Blake running away from your problems isn't going to solve anything." Touma states remembering her action before." What I do is none of your business!!," Blake retorted aggressively.
"Your right they it isn't my business, but clearly your hurting yourself call me selfish but I just can't stand seeing you like this. I'm sure that you have people who care for you as well what would they think if they saw you like this." Touma continued unfazed by the sudden aggresion, Blake for a second thought about her parents and Adam. "They don't care about me I only cause problems for them everything is always my fault." Blake responds. She didn't know why she was getting so worked up about this she couldn't stop herself from feeling this way maybe bottling up all her feelings like this really got to her.
"what a load of bull sure some things may have been your fault but I'm sure that others have also done you wrong. Your not the only one responsible for everything bad that's happens, everybody has their flaws everyone has hurt others and gotten hurt by others to say that everything is your fault is dumb because things happen as a result of not just you but because of other people. I don't know what's your past actions to make you this way, I don't know your pain but what I do know is that although you can't correct the past you still have the present and future to look forward to." Blake freezes a bit she tried to retort back in denial, however she can't think of any way to retort. "Please Blake you don't have to continue on like this and if you still think that you caused all those problems then I will shatter that illusion of yours."
"I...," for years Blake has done everything she can to fight for faunus rights. As a result she became alone, many bonds were broken, happy memories shattered. Negative thoughts clouded her mine daily. Her only salvation was to hope to start fresh somewhere where no one knows what she did leaving everything behind. Could she really share this burden with someone?. Did she really deserve to have friends that understood her after all she has done. Maybe he was right, maybe it wasn't entirely her fault she didn't ever foresee the white fang situation escalating to violence.
"fine let's talk about it, don't blame me if you see me as nothing but a dirty sinner after hearing my story." With a look of hesitation and a hard grip on her fist Blake eyes directly bore into Touma's skull searching for any lies. "Thanks Blake I won't disapoint you," Touma responds to Blake with a bright smile which leaves a little red on her face for some reason. With a heavy heart Blake reveals starts her story.
