📍6th January 2023 - London, UK

Amber stood by the window of the London hotel room, her gaze fixed on the city streets below. The rain cascaded down the windows, creating a mesmerizing dance of droplets that mirrored the turmoil within her.

Tomorrow held a court date, a pivotal moment that carried the weight of uncertainty.

Daniel, sensing her contemplation, approached and wrapped his arms around her. The hum of the city blended with the soft patter of rain, providing a backdrop to the quiet moment they shared in the dimly lit room.

The night before court, emotions hung in the air, a mix of anticipation and the shared resolve to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

Daniel, his arms still wrapped around Amber, spoke softly, "Are you okay?"

Amber, looking out at the rain-soaked city, nodded. "Yeah, just... I've got this anxiety, you know? Tomorrow is a big day."

Daniel tightened his embrace, offering silent support. "You don't have to face it alone. We're in this together."

Amber leaned into him, finding comfort in his presence.

Daniel, sensing the depth of Amber's thoughts, gently asked, "If you're really in your head, you'd talk to me, right? Share what's on your mind?"

Amber, appreciating his concern, turned to face him. "You know me too well. It's just... tomorrow feels like this big unknown. I want everything to go smoothly."

"It will." Daniel said softly before he pressed a kiss onto Amber's head. "There's nothing that could go wrong."

"What if the jury don't think that he's guilty?" Amber queried as she looked up into Daniel's big brown eyes. "What if they find him not guilty and I have to live my life in fear that he's going to be everywhere I go?"

"Baby," Daniel cooed as he tried to calm his fiancé down, "the man has enough charges against him to go down for life. There's no way the jury are going to find him not guilty for all of those charges."

"You're right." Amber deflated her chest before she turned her attention back towards the busy landscape of London. "You're always right."

"I didn't want to brag." Daniel joked as he carefully chuckled to himself. "Would a cup of tea help?"

"Please." Amber said sweetly, not diverting her gaze away from the window.

Daniel stepped away from the window, heading towards the open plan kitchen area of the hotel suite. He glanced back at Amber, who still stared out into the rainy night, lost in her thoughts.

As he prepared the tea, Daniel couldn't help but cast occasional glances across the room. The rhythmic clinking of cups and the soft hum of the kettle became a comforting backdrop, a counterpoint to the quiet tension that hung in the air.

He carefully made their drinks, pouring hot water into the teapot and selecting their favorite blends. The warmth of the tea would hopefully bring a bit of comfort to the uneasy night.

Amber, the soft clinking of stirring echoing in the room, asked, "Have you spoken to Blake since Christmas?"

Daniel paused for a moment before responding, "No, I haven't. But it was nice seeing him at Christmas."
