Let's make things easy! I'll introduce you to the characters and the basic storyline as per our scriptures. Then you can start reading :) The character sketch you would be able to gauge later. Going in alphabetical order, here are the characters, there will be more that would be introduced later.:
· Akrura - An Uncle of Lord Krishna, the Finance Minister of Mathura, during the reign of Kamsa.
· Balaram - The older half-brother of Lord Krishna, Krishna's biggest support system.
· Devaka - The older son of Akrura, a friend of Krishna's
· Devaki - Krishna's biological mother
· Jayant - Husband of Sunanda, a friend to Krishna
· Kamsa - The tyrant ruler of Mathura, Krishna's Maternal Uncle, who wishes for Krishna's death because Krishna was destined to kill him.
· Kanika - A friend of Rukmini's
· Krishna - The male protagonist, a superhero for many people across the globe. In this story, unlike how it is in the scriptures, he is about 16 or 17 years old. He's called Kanha by his brother, Balaram
· Rukmi - Rukmini's oldest brother who hates Krishna
· Rukmini - The female protagonist, who is known for her kindness. In this story, unlike how it is in the scriptures, she is about 15 years old.
· Sunanda - A friend of Rukmini's, Wife of Jayant
· Trivakra - A woman who is physically crooked in three places. She works as a perfume seller in Mathura.
· Upadevaka - The younger son of Akrura, a friend of Krishna's
· Vasudeva - Krishna and Balaram's biological father
· Asti - Wife of King Kamsa, sister of Prapti and daughter of Emperor Jarasandha
· Prapti - Wife of King Kamsa, sister of Asti and daughter of Emperor Jarasandha
· Sutanu - Wife of Akrura
