it only takes a couple of minutes to get to their apartment. she's driven these same roads what seems like hundreds of times, and when she pulls up to the gate of the complex, she can't help but smile.
it's corny, but she really does love when they invite her around.
ruby remembers the day that they all met for the first time, over a year ago now. nick had reached out after seeing some of her work on other projects, asking if she was interested in doing some editing for them. she needed the cash, and he seemed nice enough over email.
so they all got together and talked plans over takeout one night, and her life changed. nick warmed to her instantly, showering her in compliments and swapping stories about anything and everything. chris and matt followed suit soon after, respectively.
