despite hitting rock bottom a few days ago, ruby feels on top of the world now. they've all made so much progress on set, way more than she could have ever anticipated.
the whole thing started as a pipe dream, just something she fantasized about when she used to be in film school. ruby had set aside the grant that she'd been given for academic excellence two years ago, stockpiling any extra money she could and putting it toward the movie fund.
she kind of figured it would never happen. that she'd fail, or that nobody (besides maybe her mother) would give a shit about the things she wanted to create.
but the opposite ended up being true. people cared, and they wanted to help her make something beautiful.
and even though being forced to relive her own story gets hard, there's so much love and support each day she shows up that all she wants to do is give it her best. for herself, for her family, for everyone really.
